Fox has pulled the plug on their Egyptian drama Hieroglyph, which was given a 13-episode series order last October. The studio only filmed the pilot episode of the series, before they decided that Egyptian drama wasn’t meeting the level of creatively originally expected. The series was set in the world of ancient Egypt and follows a notorious thief that is plucked from prison to serve the Pharaoh, forcing him to navigate palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and divine sorcerers, as he races to stop the downfall of one of history’s greatest civilizations....

FX has given the go ahead for the musical drama, The Product.
The show will go ‘behind the music’ with rock writer Neil Strauss, guitarist Dave Navarro and Entourage writer Cliff Dorfman, and follow the life of a fictional dysfunctional rock band. The three wrote the pilot episode and will serve as executive produce. According to Variety, The Product revolves around international rock icon Load as it embarks on recording its next album after not speaking to each other in at least three years....

HBO is moving forward with plans at the cabler to build a massive Game of Thrones cinematic universe, as three more spinoffs have just been put into development. Joining the prequel series House of the Dragon, the trio of new ideas will similarly be based on the literary works of author George R.R. Martin. The projects have yet to officially be ordered to series, so it remains to be seen if all three end up getting the green light....

Marvel actor Charlie Cox wants to see a lot more legal drama when Matt Murdock returns in Daredevil: Born Again. Now confirmed for release on Disney+, the Daredevil reinvention series is set to debut on Disney+ and will last for a mammoth 18 episodes. Which, according to Cox, should give the show plenty of time for more courtroom action. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Cox is longing to explore more of Matt Murdock’s life and hopes that such a high episode count will allow him to take center stage as a lawyer in Daredevil: Born Again....

Sony’s Screen Gems has release the first official trailer for director Neil LaBute’s Death at a Funeral, which is a remake of Frank Oz’s 2007 English-based farce of the same name. This new version stars an all-star comedy line-up that includes Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, and James Marsden. Every once in a while, we like to check in on our old friend Corey Feldman and see how he is doing. The actor is currently filming The Adventures of Belvis Bash, an Iraqi rock and roll adventure to be directed by Gary Ambrosia. Star Wars sequel lead Daisy Ridley is open to a return to a galaxy far, far away, with the actress stating that she would consider bringing Rey back for more adventures. Within the long list of projects that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has prepared for the coming years, there is no doubt that Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated by fans. However, despite having had the chance to enjoy Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and, more recently, in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, it won’t be until 2024 that we’ll see him get into action in his own show after fans long insisted that Marvel Studios include Cox as the Devil from Hell’s Kitchen in their canon....

A recent post from Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter may have confirmed the return of Debra Morgan in the upcoming revival of Showtime’s serial killer series. While nothing has been confirmed, the image shows the actress on the set of a new project, and the timing certainly checks out, with the Dexter revival currently filming in Massachusetts. Many are also convinced that the crew member also shown in the image is wearing a Dexter lanyard, with Jennifer Carpenter sporting a wardrobe that looks very similar to that worn by Debra throughout the original run of the show, as she had a well-known affinity for striped shirts....

Variety reports that Disney is making a sequel to Enchanted. Jessie Nelson (Because I Said So) will write the screenplay for the live action fairy tale that Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) will direct. Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld will return as producers. The original film starred Amy Adams, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey and Susan Sarandon. It earned more than $340 million worldwide. Originally, the film was in development hell for years as filmmakers like Sonnenfeld tried to find a way to tackle the script’s comedic tone, musical numbers and blend of animation and live action sequences....

Eric Brevig has come on board to direct Yogi, Warner Bros.’ 3D film version of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brevig is a longtime visual effects supervisor whose credits include The Day After Tomorrow and Men In Black, directed Warners and Walden’s Journey to the Center of the Earth, a 3D pic that earned more than $230 million worldwide in the summer.
