Welcome back to the world of tomorrow (again)! Futurama, the beloved series created by Matt Groening and developed by Groening and David X. Cohen, is returning for a twenty-episode season at Hulu. In addition, according to Variety, production on the series will be beginning later in February 2022, and a 2023 release is hopeful. The show will once again be produced by 20th Television Animation (or is that 30th Television Animation), with Rough Draft Studios, Inc....

FX has announced its 2011 Comic-Con schedule, as the network will feature four panels: Archer, Wilfred, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Sons of Anarchy, with Archer and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia screening brand new episodes before their respective panels. FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from Fox. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in more than 99 million homes. The diverse schedule includes a growing roster of critically acclaimed and award-winning original series, an established film library of acquired box-office hit movies, and an impressive lineup of acquired hit series....

FX Networks announced today that first-year animated comedy Chozen and second-year sitcom Legit have been cancelled. FX Networks CEO John Landgraf revealed in February that FXX would be doubling its original series output next year, while saying that the fates of both Chozen and Legit would be decided after their current seasons have aired. Chozen wrapped its 10-episode Season 1 run at the end of March on FX, while Legit airs its Season 2 finale tonight, Wednesday, May 14....

Fans of the HBO hit series Game of Thrones will finally get to meet the King Beyond the Wall in Season 3. Ciarán Hinds has joined the cast as Mance Rayder, a character mentioned by name several times in Season 2. The Wildling leader has brought together the clans who dwell in the Far North for a single mission to attack the Wall, guarded by the Night’s Watch. In the Season 2 finale, Night’s Watchman Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was being taken to meet Mance Rayder, a meeting which will undoubtedly take place in the Season 3 premiere next year....

Game of Thrones is ready to kick off it’s Season 3 with a premiere on March 31st, only on HBO. Winter is coming, and to help us all prepare for the storm, a massive hi-res episodic photo gallery has been released, offering a sneak peek at what this impending season is going to look like. Fans (are there any?) of 1978’s The Star Wars Holiday Special will get a special treat this coming Tuesday, December 13th, when that most famous Wookie of all, Chewbacca, takes a star turn on Glee to pay homage to his own infamous Christmas (or rather Wookie Life Day) variety hour. Glee: Extraordinary Merry Christmas will honor the great tradition of Christmas specials, while riffing on both Judy Garland and The Star Wars Holiday Special....

The Church of Satan has released a statement in regard to the Satanic Temple’s lawsuit against Netflix and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. To put it simply, the Church of Satan doesn’t have any problems with the hit Netflix show and its use of the Baphomet statue. The Satanic Temple and Church are separate organizations, and the Temple is suing the streaming platform for a total of $150 million for “appropriating” the statue and causing harm to their reputation as a respected group....

Marvel fans certainly were happy following Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel, where the studio made several announcements. The revealed Phase 4 ends with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, both of which got trailers released online. Phase 5 was mapped out, and they also managed to tease Phase 6 with major events like Fantastic Four and two new Avengers films while dubbing the new era The Multiverse Saga....

There are certain subgenres (or gimmicks) of film that just haven’t seemed to make their way out of limbo, no matter how many different filmmakers try to let them see the light of day. Spoof movies, at their core, are often very cheap in terms of quality. Their very nature is a mockery of the art form itself at times. A horror anthology TV series based on Stephen King and director George A. Romero’s cult classic fright flick Creepshow is headed our way from The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero and horror streaming service Shudder. The show finally made its big debut at Comic-Con. Today, we have received our very first look at the highly anticipated horror anthology. This Creepshow reboot, which apparently made a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con, is all set to feature a killer cast....

CBS is reportedly considering a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation revival as an television event series to commemorate the show’s 20th anniversary of its October 2000 premiere. According to a new Deadline report, Jason Tracey (Elementary) would be writing the project, which is said to be similarly set in the city of Las Vegas and would serve as a direct sequel to the original series. The goal of the revival is to also to bring back several original CSI cast members....

Dakota Johnson described her experience filming the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy in an interview with Vanity Fair. When Johnson, then 23, auditioned for the role of Anastasia Steele for the 2015 film, she read a monologue from Ingmar Berman’s 1966 classic Persona, leading her to believe the experience and film would be “really special.” On-set problems, stemming from issues with the studio, directors, and the book’s author E.L. James led to what the actress described as a “tricky” and “psychotic” process....

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will next be taking on his weirdest role yet. The actor has been cast to star as a fictionalized version of “Weird Al” Yankovic in WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story for Roku. Though inspired by the Grammy-winning musician’s life and career, we can presume many liberties will be taken with Yankovic’s story, as the film is based on a parody trailer from Funny Or Die that starred Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as a sleazier version of Yankovic....

Bron Studios and Media Res have won the rights to the 1981 classic Scanners, for a new TV series adaptation. As of now, no writer has been set for this sci-fi TV adaptation, although both studios plan on setting a top-flight filmmaker and showrunner to develop the series, before taking it out and shopping it to cable networks and streaming services. Bron Studios and Media Res beat out a number of different film and TV studios who were all vying for this property....

Amy Adams is back as Disney Princess Giselle in the latest trailer for the highly anticipated Disney sequel, Disenchanted. Released courtesy of Walt Disney Studios, the new footage offers another look at the sequel, which will pick up a decade after the events of 2007’s Enchanted, and finds that things do not always end with a happily ever after. It has been more than ten years since Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life....

A new lawsuit has been filed against the 2007 D.J. Caruso film Disturbia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the complaint claims that the thriller is a direct rip-off of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 film Rear Window. The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan’s federal court on Monday. Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust, which owns the rights to Cornell Woolrich’s short story “Murder From a Fixed Viewpoint”, upon which Hitchcock’s film was based, claim that Hitchcock obtained the rights to turn the story into a film....

While the writers strike has put much of the film and television industries on lockdown, the home entertainment industry is flourishing. Accoring to a story from The Hollywood Reporter, which sites a recent survey, 43% of respondants said they’ve spent more time watching DVD films since the strike, and 23% said they have spent more time viewing DVD television programming. On the other side of the spectrum, 27% said they have spent less time watching network TV while 12% said they’ve watched less cable and satellite TV series'....

The Walking Dead’s Austin Amelio will be back as Dwight for another Fear the Walking Dead crossover. The character was last seen on the final episode of Season 8 after Daryl Dixon told him to leave Alexandria, and fans of the original show have been wondering what happened to him since he followed Daryl’s orders. This isn’t the first time that the two shows have dipped their toes into the crossover territory....
