It seems that Hogwarts will be one professor short with its last installment. According to MTV Movies Blog, actress Emma Thompson will not be returning for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and instead will be making a sequel to Nanny McPhee. “No, no, no,” Thompson said when asked if she’ll return to Hogwarts. “I’m making my own Nanny McPhee next year. They mean much more to me.” Thompson has appeared as Professor Sybil Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, filming Nanny McPhee between the two films....

Empire of Light just received a release date, courtesy of a press release from Searchlight Pictures. The film is the latest project to be helmed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes. Empire of Light will shine in theaters on Dec. 9th. The full press release says: The film will also feature Toby Jones, Sara Stewart, Tanya Moodie, Tom Brooke, Crystal Clarke, Mark Ryan, and Hannah Onslow. Celia Duval, Pippa Harris, Sam Mendes, and Lola Oliyide will produce, with Michael Lerman and Julie Pastor serving as EP....

Fast and Furious lead Vin Diesel has confirmed that production on highly-anticipated sequel Fast 10 is speeding down the track, with filming ready to begin in mere “minutes,” according to Dominic Toretto himself. The action star shared a video to his official Instagram account, showing him at a recent NASCAR event in Los Angeles, where he took the opportunity to celebrate “that racing mindset” and tease the beginning of Fast and Furious 10 filming....

Bad news has come in for fans of Fate: The Winx Saga. Netflix has officially pulled the plug on the series following the second season’s arrival in September. There won’t be a third season coming to close out the series, meaning the season 2 finale will also serve as the show’s series finale. Code Name Banshee has a former CIA assassin, her mentor, and his daughter ducking an acerbic old adversary with a legion of goons. The villain spends the film calling for cannon fodder reinforcements like ordering a pizza. Code Name Banshee plays fast and loose with timelines that make little sense. It also uses bizarre flashback cinematography that looks awful....

Syfy has announced that it will air Season 3 of the popular time traveling police series Continuum. The #1 original cable drama in its Friday 10 PM time period, Continuum will return to the network in 2014 with 13 all-new episodes.
