The undead aren’t going anywhere for a while, as AMC has ordered a seventh season of Fear the Walking Dead. News of the renewal comes straight from the show’s official Twitter account, which tweeted a video teasing the return of the Walking Dead spinoff. It’s been a rough year for the animation industry. When it was announced that Warner Bros. and Discovery had merged, nobody could have guessed that the result was multiple animated shows and projects being not only canceled, but scrubbed completely from the HBO Max library. On Christmas Eve, Netflix made the surprise announcement that Fuller House Season 3 is happening, with new videos posted to the show’s social media. It was never confirmed by the streaming service how many episodes were ordered for Season 3, but that news was revealed on New Year’s Eve by series creator Jeff Franklin, through his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The series creator/executive producer revealed that there will be 18 episodes in Season 3, five more than each of the first two 13-episode seasons....

Nickelodeon, the number-one US TV network for kids and the most widely distributed kids’ network in the world, has partnered with media content company, Chorion, to present Olivia, a new children’s animated television series based on the best-selling books by acclaimed author/illustrator Ian Falconer. Yesterday, Movieweb and SuperHeroFlix had the opportunity to visit Chris Nolan while he was editing his newest film, The Prestige, starring Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, and Michael Caine. Chris Pratt will appear as Peter Quill/Star-Lord for the sixth and possibly final time in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 next summer. Director James Gunn has made it clear that this will be the end of his time in the MCU, and potentially the end of the line for a number of the Guardians team. Christian Gudegast is set to direct the bank heist drama Den of Thieves for Relativity Media, marking this one-time music video director’s debut into feature length projects. According to Variety, the story centers on a thief who’s planning a heist but gets trapped between two sets of criminals. Gudegast wrote the screenplay with Paul Scheuring nearly a decade ago. Singer Cody Simpson talks about remaking the song I Want Candy for Hop, which arrives on Blu-ray and DVD March 23. Singer Cody Simpson, at just 15 years of age, is already drawing comparisons to another young superstar, Justin Bieber. He was discovered in 2009 after his YouTube videos went viral, and released his first single in 2010. The Australian vocalist was also asked to remake the classic song “I Want Candy” by The Strangeloves as the theme song for Universal Pictures’ Easter comedy Hop, which debuts on Blu-ray and DVD March 23....

It isn’t even on DVD yet but it seems some legal hands are trying to get into the Borat editing room. In a story from Variety, a judge in Los Angeles said that he “would consider a request by two University of South Carolina fraternity brothers that a scene featuring them be cut from the Borat DVD.” The scene in question features the fraternity brothers, who were inebriated, making “sexist and racist remarks....

Sad news has come in as rapper and actor Coolio has died. Perhaps best known for his hit song “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which popularized by its inclusion in the 1995 film Dangerous Minds, Coolio was found dead on Wednesday in Los Angeles. As of now, a cause of death has not been determined for the performer. He was just 59 years old. Per TMZ, Coolio had been visiting a friend’s home when paramedics were called at around 4 p....

Dexter star Michael C. Hall hopes that the upcoming revival series will make up for the “unsatisfying” original finale. The hit Showtime series was praised from the start, though some enthusiasm started to fade by the time the final season aired. The series was dark and unlike anything a lot of viewers had ever seen before with everybody rooting for a vigilante serial killer. However, there are not a lot of fans who look back too fondly on the way that Dexter came to an end....
