The Marvel Studios and Disney feature will introduce a live-action multiverse that allows for characters from alternate cinematic universes to appear, prompting the speculation for multiple Spider-Men. There have also long been rumors that Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock from Netflix’s Daredevil....

The Dark Knight is arguably one of the best Batman movies to grace the big screen, but according to a new book about director Christopher Nolan, the film was never part of his plan. As revealed by Slash Film in an excerpt from Ian Nathan’s book Christopher Nolan: The Iconic Filmmaker and His Work, Nolan only ever planned to make one Batman movie and then step away from what ended up being a whole trilogy starring Christian Bale in the titular role....

According to The Digital Bits, Circuit City has taken the lead in promoting the release of the upcoming Blu-ray Disc players. The company claims that Samsung’s BD-P1000 “will be the first Blu-ray player” on the market via it’s email newsletter. The player will be available to own “in early spring” and the price will be $999. Also, Video Business is reporting that due to the fact that there won’t be a large number of high-definition machines hitting the market, Warner Home Video and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will only be releasing HD DVD and Blu-ray DVDs in those stores that are also selling the players....

The Good A fun filled action movie that really seems to be having a great time. The Bad Arnold really should have been a part of this release not just used in archival footage. Commando is the story of a man named John Matrix. He is so good at his job as a special-ops soldier that the U.S. has taken him out of action for fear that people will try and kill him....

The casting rumors for the next Batman film have now officially gotten ridiculous. The latest rumor, courtesy of British tabloid The Sunday Mirror, states that Chrstopher Nolan’s choice to be the villain in the sequel to The Dark Knight is Cher, taking over the role of Catwoman. According to the report, a studio executive said “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years....

An emotionally unstable country star gets romantically involved with an up-and-coming singer-songwriter in writer-director Shana Feste’s stirring drama Country Strong. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund, Leighton Meester, and Tim McGraw, the Country Strong Blu-ray and Country Strong DVD will be available this Tuesday, April 12th. The Crocodile Hunter Family has announced that they’re returning to Animal Planet, 11 years after the death of Steve Irwin, aka the Crocodile Hunter. Animal Planet made the announcement this week that Irwin’s widow Terri along with children Bindi and Robert will reappear on the network next year in a brand-new show. It isn’t clear just exactly what the show will be about, but the Irwin family is currently in talks with Animal Planet to discuss several ideas about where to take the Irwin family next....

It seems a teenage growth spurt has prevented one young actor from coming back for a horror sequel. Director Rob Zombie revealed on his MySpace page that Tyler Daeg, who played the young Michael Myers in Halloween, will not be back for the sequel, H2. Here’s what the director had to say on his blog. Faerch’s replacement has not been named as of yet, but we’ll certainly keep you posted on any developments surrounding this film....

FilmDistrict and Miramax today announced that FilmDistrict has acquired all U.S. rights to Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and that a wide release has been scheduled for August 12. Produced by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Johnson, the film stars Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Bailee Madison and Jack Thompson and marks the directorial debut of Troy Nixey. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is a remake of a 1973 TV movie bearing the same title, considered by del Toro to be among the scariest ever made....

Every great hero needs a great nemesis and for Disney’s animated, redheaded high school hero, that was Dr. Drakken, with the help of his sidekick Shego. Dwayne Johnson is back on the set of the DC movie Black Adam for reshoots, as the actor revealed in a new Instagram post. Black Adam recently became one of the upcoming DCEU movies to be pushed back in the Warner Bros. release schedule, and now it seems there could be a good reason for that. Although reshoots are par for the course these days, having originally wrapped filming at the end of last summer, it was thought that Black Adam would have no problems hitting its original release slot of July 29, but with reshoots clearly ongoing, it looks like the drop back to October will just give a little more time to fine-tune the movie....

Ahead of its July 15th premiere, El Rey Network today announced a 13-episode second season renewal of the cable channel’s spy thriller Matador from award-winning writer/producer Roberto Orci. Electronic Arts Inc., announced the upcoming release of The Simpsons Game (working title). Created in partnership with Gracie Films and Twentieth Century Fox Television and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, The Simpsons Game features a hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show’s Emmy Award-winning writers.
