Sons of Anarchy is a highly regarded biker-drama series, initially running from 2008 to 2014 on FX. The series follows the titular biker gang as they run their organization while Jax Teller struggles to balance family life with being an outlaw. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi, Ron Perlman, Ryan Hurst, Kim Coates, and was created by Kurt Sutter. The show was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Drama at the 2010 TVA Awards, and Sagal received a Golden Globe for Best Actress – Television Series (Drama)....

When Kali Reis’ mother gave her the Native name Mequinonoag, meaning ‘many talents,’ she couldn’t have been more accurate. Reis is a world champion boxer currently dominating the female light welterweight field, and has now co-written and starred in her first film, Catch the Fair One (a phrase which means ’to fight’ but also refers to its own plot) to rave reviews. She is a vocal and inspiring activist fighting for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls movement, and her acting will likely flourish, having recently signed to a large talent agency....

Now the fans can finally see their favorites like Goku, Bulma, Chi Chi and the villain Piccolo brought to life before their eyes in Dragonball Evolution, which hits theaters nationwide on April 10. I had the chance to speak with Justin Chatwin, who plays young Goku, who discovers his hidden powers on his 18th birthday, Emmy Rossum who plays the feisty Bulma, a scientist who is searching for her father’s stolen Dragonball, Jamie Cheung, who plays Chi Chi, the lovely fighting goddess that catches Goku’s eye, and James Marsters, who plays the villain Piccolo, who is trying to capture all seven Dragonballs so he can conquer the earth....

The first photo for the upcoming horror movie Alone in the Dark 2 was revealed on Fangoria.com today. The picture shows genre favorite Danny Trejo in the role of the witch hunter Perry. “Danny is a great actor, we’ve been fans of his work for years”, tells director Peter Scheerer. “We have always wanted to cast him, and the role of the fearless witch hunter was the perfect opportunity”, continues director Michael Roesch....

Fox announced its 2011-2012 lineup today which includes four new drama series and three new comedies. The network has also released the first trailers for their rookie shows New Girl, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, The Finder, Terra Nova, Napoleon Dynamite, Allen Gregory, and Alcatraz. Back in May, Netflix announced a straight-to-series order for their new program G.L.O.W., a fictionalized account about the star of a women’s pro wrestling league known as the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.). Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan is serving as executive producer of this new series, and today we have word that the show has found its star in Alison Brie. While the Community star is the first actress to sign on, it isn’t known how many other primary roles are still needed to be cast....

HBO has confirmed some of the new cast members for Season 3 of the hit series Game of Thrones, with many of the actors appearing in a video that was unveiled Friday, July 13 at Comic-Con 2012. Among the new actors and the characters they will portray are: Diana Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell. Also known as “The Queen of Thorns,” Lady Olenna is the grandmother of Margaery and Loras Tyrell and is, in many ways, the true leader of their powerful family....

As well as appearing as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Chris Hemsworth has also been a part of the Star Trek franchise. After appearing as George Kirk, father of Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk, in the 2009 reboot of the sci-fi property, it was at one point believed that he would return for another appearance in the fourth film, which until recently has been stuck in limbo. With the sequel to Star Trek Beyond now potentially being back in play, Hemsworth would certainly consider reprising his role if he were asked....

Relativity Media has closed deals with Oscar-winner Christian Bale (The Fighter), Oscar-nominated Casey Affleck (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford), Zoe Saldana (Avatar) and Oscar-nominated Sam Shepard (Safe House) to star as the lead roles in the upcoming gripping and gritty drama currently titled Out of the Furnace, written and directed by the critically-acclaimed Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), it was announced today by Relativity’s Co-President, Tucker Tooley....

For several years fans demanded a sequel to Keanu Reeves’ Constantine movie, but rights issues between DC Comics and Vertigo Comics seemingly prevented the film from happening. With Reeves’s return as the fan-favorite character having been announced back in September, director Francis Lawrence has given an update on the sequel and how far it has moved forward. He told ComicBook.com: This will be more than enough for the many fans of Reeves’s version of the DC demonologist, who was last seen in 2005....

Netflix’s crime series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has been one of the most controversial titles released on the streaming platform this year. Even after being on the platform for over a month now, the hugely popular if harrowing series is still being debated, and one aspect of that has been the show getting tagged as “LGBTQ” centric by Netflix. While Netflix has since removed the tag, creator Ryan Murphy objected to the removal of the tag as he felt it was right for the show to appear in LGBTQ lists....

Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release Oscar nominated Whit Stillman’s latest film Violet Wister’s Damsels in Distress worldwide. Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer produced alongside Stillman, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Greta Gerwig (Greenberg, upcoming Arthur remake), Adam Brody (The Romantics, upcoming Scream 4) and Analeigh Tipton (Crazy Stupid Love with Steve Carell, America’s Next Top Model). Violet Wister’s Damsels in Distress is a comedy that follows a trio of beautiful girls who set out to revolutionize life at a grungy East Coast university - the dynamic leader Violet Wister (Gerwig), principled Rose (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and sexy Heather (Carrie MacLemore)....

If there is one person who has always been behind the Ghostbusters franchise, it is star and writer Dan Aykroyd, and after Ghostbusters: Afterlife blew away expectations at the box office when it arrived in November there were obviously going to be questions over whether we will see the original team back again in the future. While Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson are now advancing on in years, they proved that they can still put on a show with their late arrival in the legacy sequel and it seems that no one should write off the possibility of another outing or three for the team just yet as Aykroyd says he has an idea for Ghostbusters 4, 5 and 6....

Netflix was quick to cut all ties with Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. following their recent sexual misconduct allegations. However, the streaming service is still moving forward with The Ranch season 4, which stars Danny Masterson, who has also been accused of sexual assault. Several women have accused the former That 70s Show star of rape and now, one of his accusers has come forward to call out Netflix for their decision....

You can go back to one creepy city on DVD and Blu-Ray this July. Dark City Director’s Cut is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on July 29. The standard version will be priced at $19.97 SRP while the Blu-Ray will street for $34.99 SRP. We don’t have any special features details on these releases yet, but we’ll update this story as soon as we get more information. The film stars Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly and William Hurt....

Real life behemoth Dave Bautista is preparing to return as Glossu “Beast” Rabban in the upcoming sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two. Taking to Instagram, Bautista revealed that he has shaved his head and face completely clean in order to once again sport the pale-white skin and aerodynamic look of the character, who will once again do battle with Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. Ever since the Disney/Fox merger, one of the biggest questions fans have been asking is whether Deadpool 3 will retain its R-rating.
