Two new trailers have been released for this week’s upcoming episode of Doctor Who, entitled “Listen”, which airs Saturday, September 13 at 9 PM ET on BBC America. This episode, written by Steven Moffat and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, features the Time Lord (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Coleman) dealing with ghosts from their past and future in an adventure that takes them to end of the universe. Check out the latest footage before embarking on this harrowing quest when “Listen” arrives on Saturday night....

Few events rocked the comic book world the same way that The Death of Superman did, and Warner Home Video and DC comics are now trying to shake the DC Animated Universe the same way with the release of Superman: Doomsday [Special Edition]. The first of Warner’s DC Animated Universe films, Superman: Doomsday was originally released in 2007. Now, the film is coming to Blu-Ray and receiving the special edition treatment with new commentaries, behind-the-scenes clips and other special features, as Warner Home Video has revealed on the new website for the animated feature....

One of the most talked about shows on television has an official premiere date: Downton Abbey Season 4 will begin on Masterpiece on PBS on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Masterpiece executive producer Rebecca Eaton announced the U.S. airdates today at the PBS Annual Meeting. The hightest-rated drama in PBS history, Downton Abbey Season 4 will run for eight weeks, from January 5 to February 23, 2014. In total, 24 million viewers tuned into the third season of Downton Abbey, and its emotional February 17 finale was the #1 show on television, beating all broadcast and cable in primetime....

Comedy Central has given us our last inebriated history lesson, as the network has axed the popular comedy series Drunk History after six seasons. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as the network previously renewed the show for season 7 last year. Although pre-production on the new season had begun, the shutdown of all television and movie productions this year put the new season on hold at the time....

Spider One brings his horror vision to Shudder as writer and director of Allegoria, following artists whose lives intertwine as their insecurities manifest demons and death. It stars Krsy Fox, Adam Busch, Bryce Johnson, and Scout Compton. Allegoria opens on an acting coach who appears to be teaching his students how to channel their inner monster and give a raw, real performance. Don’t count on seeing Chris Evans back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Chris Rogers. Christian Bale is currently making the press rounds in support of The Flowers of War. While the actor is usually tight-lipped about his most anticipated upcoming project, The Dark Knight Rises, he did take a few moments to address his new co-stars and the fact that he recently shot his last scene, ever, as Batman. It is true. After The Dark Knight Rises, both director Christopher Nolan and actor Christian Bale will retire from the world of Gotham City forever....

We’re going to have to wait a while longer to see Christopher Meloni star in the new series Law & Order: Organized Crime, as the Special Victims Unit spinoff has been delayed until 2021. Previously, the plan had been for the new show to debut this fall alongside the return of SVU. On Thursday, NBC announced that Law & Order: Organized Crime will instead be pushed back to next year. While certainly a bummer, the news isn’t exactly surprising, given how many other movie and television productions have gotten similar delays....

Chuck Barris, the enigmatic TV personality who created hit shows such as The Gong Show and wrote several books, including Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, has passed away at the age of 87. His publicist Paul Sherfin confirmed that he passed from natural causes at his home in Palisades, New York, surrounded by friends and family members. While he may not be a household name to some, Chuck Barris’ career had a lasting impact on the entertainment industry....
