Some thirteen years after the release of the monumental, record-breaking Avatar, a LEGO set has now been released depicting the world of Pandora. You would be forgiven for wondering why exactly it has taken so long. With several sequels, including Avatar: The Way of Water, now finally on their way, LEGO has decided to at last enter the Avatar business, retroactively releasing a set based on the climax of the first Avatar titled “Toruk Makto at the Tree of Souls....

From the release of the first Twilight novel in 2005, vampires have gained even more popularity, and the movies in The Twilight Saga generated a surge in doomed vampiric romances (especially amongst teenagers), from The Vampire Diaries to True Blood. We cannot deny the chemistry between Edward and Bella, beautifully brought to the screen by Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, although, as times have changed, vampires have changed with it....

On Monday, we showed you photos from next week’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., entitled “The Hub”, airing Tuesday, November 12 at 8 PM ET on ABC. Now we have three more photos from “The Hub” that give us our first look at Saffron Burrows as fan favorite Victoria Hand. Ever since Sam Heughan was cast as Jamie Fraser in the Starz series Outlander, fans of Diana Gabaldon’s novels have been wondering what the actor will look like in character. Today, the network reveals the first photo from the Scotland set, just a few weeks after production began. Stay tuned for more images as shooting continues on this fantasy series. In Outlander, Jamie Fraser strikes up a passionate affair with Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743....

FOX has renewed family comedy Last Man Standing and medical drama The Resident for the 2020-2021 season, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, for FOX Entertainment. Last Man Standing, starring Tim Allen, will enter its third season on FOX, and ninth in total. The Resident will enter its fourth season. Last Man Standing averages more than eight million Multi-Platform viewers, and is FOX’s most-watched comedy. The series ranks among the season’s Top 10 comedies among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and male/female components, Adults 25-54, Adults 35-49, Men 18-49, Men 35-49 and Teens....

Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television announced the launch of a new, live, national morning program, scheduled to begin airing in January 2007. The new show will originate from New York and will air on all the owned-and-operated Fox affiliates. Hosted by Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy of FOX News Channel’s DaySide, the show will be live from 9-10 a.m., in most markets, and feature entertainment and general interest programming. Both anchors will continue their DaySide duties until Fall 2006....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS is teaming with Yahoo! Inc. for Comedy Bowl, a week of free streaming of CBS’ Monday comedies Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother on Yahoo! TV. From Tuesday through Jan. 2, two full previously aired episodes of both series will be available for free video streaming without commercials on Yahoo!’s television section. “We’re always looking for ways to provide current and potential new viewers every possible opportunity to sample our series,” CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group president Nancy Tellem said....

The League, FX’s new ensemble comedy series set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league from producers Jeff Schaffer (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) and Jackie Marcus Schaffer (Disturbia), will premiere on October 29 and run Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT behind all new episodes of the hit comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The network has also set the timetable for the rollout of its two other new comedies Archer and Louie, which will debut in January and the first quarter of 2010, respectively....

Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe will make her way from the mean streets of ’80s Harlem in Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire to the cushy, modern-day Connecticut suburbs in the new Showtime dark comedy series, The Big C. Sidibe, who guest starred in the pilot episode, just signed on as a recurring guest star in the half-hour series, which is headlined by Laura Linney as Cathy, a repressed suburban wife and mother who reclaims her life after a terminal cancer diagnosis....

Even though Game of Thrones season 8 is going to be the show’s last, it’s going to deliver the goods, as fans are basically in for six epic movies to cap off the series. This, according to HBO CEO Richard Plepler, who has seen the final six episodes of the wildly popular fantasy series and has nothing but praise for what has been accomplished. Perhaps we will see more of Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters sharing the screen following the arrival of Daredevil in She-Hulk. As revealed in promotional materials for She-Hulk, Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock for a special appearance following his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It has also been announced that Cox will co-star with Vincent D’Onofrio in a new Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, with the two reprising the roles they previously played in the Daredevil series....

We reported a few weeks ago that Jon Heder pulled out of a new Comedy Central series, just days before shooting was set to start, and now the series has found Heder’s replacement. Variety is reporting that Chris Gethard has stepped in for Heder to star in the series Big Lake. The series comes from the Gary Sanchez Productions team of Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy and Adam McKay, all of whom had worked with Gethard on their upcoming film The Other Guys, which stars Ferrell, was written by Henchy and McKay and directed by McKay....

It seems to be a trend in Hollywood that stars of some of the most loved, long-running TV shows don’t actually have as much of a connection with the characters that made them famous as many fans would like to think. William Shatner recently spoke about how he has not seen many of the Star Trek episodes he starred in and fans tend to know a lot more about the series than he does....

The USA Network’s half-hour comedy pilot Sirens has officially announced a cast that includes Michael Mosley (30 Rock, Pan Am), Kevin Daniels (Modern Family), Jessica McNamee (The Vow) and Kevin Bigley (Game Change). Denis Leary will co-write with Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Traffic Light), and both will executive produce the series along with Jim Serpico (Rescue Me), Hal Vogel and David Aukin (Hyde Park on the Hudson, Endgame) of Daybreak Pictures....

The director talks about getting David Bowie in his film, that other “magic” movie, and the sequel to Batman Begins Chris Nolan has achieved a lot for only directing six movies. His third film basically revolutionized the way a story could be told on film (Memento). His fifth film reinvigorated the Batman franchise (Batman Begins), and his newest film, The Prestige, seems poised to be one of the best films of the year....

In a story from Variety, Disney’s has halted development of Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride. The Touchstone Pictures sequel was slated to begin production by next summer. Walt Becker was returning as director, and John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy were coming back as biker pals in midlife crisis. Wild Hogs original writer Brad Copeland had penned the sequel script, and new writers were about to come on board....

The internet, for all its glory, continues to be cinema’s harshest critic. Upon release of most Marvel projects comes the slew of verbal floggings from fanboys and review bombers alike. Not to mention the ubiquitous Snyder mob that seems to make its way into every possible form of discourse regarding cinema. Like it or not, the keyboard warrior is now a quasi-occupation of most invested fanbases regarding the film industry, showing remorse in only few circumstances and mercy in none....

HBO has handed out a series order for the half-hour dramatic comedy series Ballers, which stars Dwayne Johnson. The actor confirmed the news through his Twitter page, with a message that includes a photo from the set. The series follows a group of former and current professional football players, with Dwayne Johnson portraying Spencer Strasmore, whose playing days are behind him. Omar Benson Miller plays Charles, another former athlete searching for a new career, with John David Washington, the son of Denzel Washington, playing a competitive and spiritual athlete named Charles....
