The franchise will have a fresh start and a variety of projects were announced that will connect movies, television, and animated projects in one shared universe. Audiences got release dates for a new Superman movie as well as details on projects focusing on Batman, Booster Gold, and Green Lantern just to name a few. In contrast to Marvel Studios’ use of the term Phases, DC Studios will be calling their connected plans Chapters, very similar to a comic book....

Marvel Studios is nothing but patient when it comes to slowly unveiling its plans for the MCU. If the Duke Nukem movie is really happening this time, fans are demanding that somebody call John Cena. Recently, it was reported that a live-action Duke Nukem film has entered development. It sounds like Joe’s fears about the tedium of suburbs were unfounded, with Netflix announcing that actors Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle are joining the cast of You season 3 as a shady couple that takes a curious liking to Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti’s characters Joe and Love. Shalita Grant will reportedly play Sherry, “a ‘Mom-fluencer’ who appears down to earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle....

Seth Meyers made a surprising announcement on his Twitter feed today, that Portlandia star/creator Fred Armisen will serve as the bandleader when Late Night with Seth Meyers debuts two weeks from today on Monday, February 24 at 12:37 AM ET, confirming that he will still manage to lead the band while he is shooting Portlandia. It remains to be seen how this arrangement will work, since Portlandia is actually shot in Portland, Oregon, and Late Night with Seth Meyers tapes live every weeknight from Rockefeller Center in New York City....

New details surrounding the abrupt firing of Fred Savage from ABC’s reboot of The Wonder Years are coming to light. The Hollywood Reporter has published accounts of six female crew members alleging sexual harassment by Fred Savage, detailing the series of events leading up to their sending a complaint to Disney and speaking to a human resources executive about concerns regarding the actor’s behavior toward women on set. Per the report, the women are claiming they saw “a far darker, angrier alter ego” and that he could flip personas in an instant....
