You can bring a new animated adventure home from the real American heroes on DVD this November. G.I. Joe: Resolute will be released on DVD on November 3, the same day the live-action G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra arrives on DVD and Blu-ray. We have no word on pricing for this new animated disc as of yet, but you can take a look at the special features and cover art below....

You can bring home a classic cartoon home in its entirety with a wealth of extra goodies on DVD this July. G.I. Joe: The Complete Series Collector’s Set will be released on DVD on July 21. This 17-disc set features all 95 episodes of the animated cartoon, in limited edition packaging, and the set will be priced at $145 SRP. HBO announced via Twitter which actors and production team members were showing up to support Game of Thrones in Hall H on Friday. Among them were Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), and Conleth Hill (Varys). Although most fans are thrilled at the prospect of hearing Isaac’s opinion on his new crown, or Maise’s predictions about Arya’s mysterious departure, many will likely be disappointed....

Willow delivered a number of cameo appearances throughout its first season, one being Christian Slater, who appeared in one episode as an associate of Val Kilmer’s Madmartigan. Disney+ has just released a new documentary charting the making of the fantasy epic. Before that, Slater spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his time filming the fantasy series and discussed his love of Kilmer’s performance in the original movie. He also explained how his character of Allagash made him reminisce about his role as Will Scarlet in Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves....

Universal Pictures and World War Z director Marc Forster have teamed up to bring Cowboy Ninja Viking to the big screen. The film follows a secret government program to turn schizophrenics into assassins. The main character comes through the program with the skill sets of a cowboy, ninja and a viking. While most of the patients involved in the program are sent back to insane asylum after the program went awry in Iraq, he escapes and uses his skills to track down the billionaire who masterminded the program....

Horror fans rejoice; the Creepshow TV series has officially entered production. We first learned of the small screen adaptation of the anthology movie last summer, with horror legend Greg Nicotero, who serves as one of the chief creative forces on The Walking Dead, at the helm. Now, we have word that work on the show is underway, in addition to some very interesting new details, which should be very enticing for Stephen King fans....

Danny McBride is joining forces with producer Todd Phillips for a remake of the Danish comedy Clown for Warner Bros. The Eastbound & Down actor will write, produce, and star in this comedy, which centers on two men who go on vacation with a 13-year-old boy. The original movie was spawned from the TV series, which follows Casper and Frank, who plan a party-heavy vacation. Their plans are thrown asunder when Frank must take his girlfriend’s 11-year-old son with them on the trip, to prove he’s a good father, even though they continue to party with the young boy in tow....

While it now seems obvious that Obi-Wan Kenobi could not revisit the story of the Jedi Master between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope without featuring Darth Vader, it was not a foregone conclusion that the Sith Lord would appear in the new Disney+ series. As a new in-depth article in Vanity Fair has revealed, it was almost certain at one point that Darth Vader would not be part of the show, and it was only after several discussions and some heavy championing by director Deborah Chow that Hayden Christensen’s return to the Star Wars Universe was agreed....

Suicide Squad was released six years ago. David Ayer’s take on the DC Comics’ task force of supervillains was met with negative reception, making the film a critical failure. However, despite the film’s story ending, the film remains highly relevant. This is primarily due to director David Ayer’s claims that the studio hampered his version of the movie due to Batman v Superman’s poor reviews. And then, ever since Zack Snyder got his way with his version of Justice League, the Snyder Cut, the discussion around the original version of Suicide Squad gained more traction on social media....

As Stranger Things heads into its final season, questions are already being asked about who will live and who will die. Last week we reported that Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance is writing and directing a new project entitled The Place Beyond the Pines, which will reunite him with actor Ryan Gosling. I recently had the chance to speak with Derek Cianfrance about the May 10 release of Blue Valentine on Blu-ray and DVD, and he spoke a bit more about this new project. The Dexter series finale was a big success for Showtime, at least in terms of ratings. The last episode attracted a network record 3.3 million viewers, although many fans were not thoroughly pleased with the way the series ended. During the network’s TCA Winter Tour presentation today, network president David Nevins addressed the possibility of a spin-off series, which he said was something that is being discussed internally. However, when asked who the series would focus on, which some guessed would be Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay, David Nevins said that he still wants Michael C....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is nearing release, and we can expect a massive promotional campaign soon from Marvel Studios. The film can be the biggest event in the MCU for a solo film, which will open the franchise to the wonders and horrors of the multiverse, a concept Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home paved the path for. The film is going to feature previous cast members from Doctor Strange while introducing Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, and a surprise appearance from Patrick Stewart, who’ll probably reprise his role as Charles Xavier/Professor X from X-Men Series....
