It’s a sad day in the wrestling world, as former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro has unexpectedly passed away. Massaro is best known for winning WWE’s Diva Search competition and competing as an active wrestler for the company between 2005 through 2008. The cause of her death has not yet been revealed, though her passing was confirmed by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner in New York. Officials are currently investigating, but it is not being treated as a crime as no foul play is suspected....

After receiving a record-setting 12,000 video submissions at TheLot.com from aspiring filmmakers around the globe, 50 semi-finalists have been selected for the new filmmaking competition series On the Lot from Mark Burnett, Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Television. We may not have seen the last of Futurama after all, as series star Maurice LaMarche says the cast and crew are still holding out hope for another revival. Starting in the original season, LaMarche consistently lent his voice to various characters on the animated series including Kif Kroker, Dr. Perceptron, Hedonismbot, Walt, and Morbo. Kevin Feige announced earlier this year that the MCU’s fourth phase is all about introductions and beginnings, and there was no bigger introduction than Eternals. The film didn’t include any Avenger cameos or many links to the previous MCU story for casual viewers but instead focused its efforts on bringing around a dozen new characters into the Marvel story who had never been seen on screen before, and set up both a sequel and teased the future arrival of Blade in a very subtle way that will not be paid off for a few years....

Ahead of the upcoming series revival with new host Leslie Jones, classic episodes of the cult favorite game show Supermarket Sweep have been added to the streaming library on Netflix. Originally running on ABC in the 1960’s, the series had a much more successful run when it was revived in 1990 by Lifetime. Mark Ruffalo made an unexpected appearance in the post-credit scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, but next year will see the Bruce Banner/Hulk actor make his first full return to the MCU since Avengers: Endgame as part of the Disney+ series of She-Hulk. The Weinstein Co. and Genius Products are going to the Extreme! In a story from Home Media Magazine, their new Dimension Extreme label has tapped September to bring out the first of its three releases. We reported a few days ago that Disney might be expanding its Tron Legacy universe into the small screen and now that news has been confirmed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney announced an animated TV series that would follow the theatrical release of Tron Legacy, which is slated for a December 17 release. It was said that the series would be aimed at children ages 6-14 and that this will be a 10-part micro-series, which will air on the new channel Disney XD in the fall of 2011....

The reckoning of Stephen Strange is long overdue in the latest TV spot for the highly (and we mean highly) anticipated Marvel sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This latest trailer, released courtesy of Marvel Entertainment, offers a few glimpses of new footage, including what appears to be a blood-soaked The Scarlet Witch laying waste to the temple believed to belong to The Illuminati. As well as glimpses of footage we have seen before amongst the snippets of new stuff, including the three-eyed Doctor Strange, the big-screen debut of the one-eyed monster Gargantos, the TV spot once again demonstrates that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to be a hugely dramatic and dangerous adventure for the Master of the Mystic Arts....

Good reviews couldn’t keep Drive on the road. According to Variety, Fox pulled the series over after only four episodes. Even though the show was generating very positive buzz, it failed miserably in the ratings. Maybe it’s the Nathan Fillion curse. You may remember that Fox also cancelled his show Firefly back in 2003. It too received good reviews and a pretty loyal fan base, yet stalled in the ratings....

Yesterday we reported that Brett Ratner has stepped down as producer of the 84th Annual Academy Awards.
