It has been seven years since we saw our favorite blood spatter expert on the screen. Now it’s time for Dexter and his dark passenger to return from their hiatus. One of the many questions we have is, “Where has he been?” When Dexter jumped out of the books and found his home on Showtime in 2006 it took the viewers by storm as well as critics. With eight seasons and ninety six episodes under the shows belt, it felt like the show had ended....

The anticipated superhero sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has finally hit theaters, and with it comes many big surprises. The Cybermen return once again in the poster for the upcoming Doctor Who: Season 7 episode “Nightmare in Silver”, airing Saturday, May 11 on BBC America. Author Neil Gaiman wrote the script for this episode, where the good doctor (Matt Smith) and Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) visit Hedgewick’s World of Wonders only to cross paths with Who’s oldest foes, the dreaded Cybermen. DreamWorks Animation announced the acquisition of writers Alan Schoolcraft & Brent Simons’ superhero send-up Master Mind, which was brought to the company by Lara Breay at Red Hour Films, the production entity of producing partners Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld. Red Hour will collaborate with DreamWorks Animation in developing and producing the project. DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson are attached to make their feature film directorial debut with Master Mind....

DreamWorks has picked up screenwriter Chris McCoy’s original romantic-comedy script Good Looking, just three weeks after they picked up his untitled college comedy pitch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, McCoy’s newest project posits a future dating service that matches soulmates around the world without fail. The story line follows a guy who has the audacity to reject the person chosen for him. McCoy developed the idea last year while on a working vacation in London, where he noticed the city’s near-universal coverage by surveillance camera to deter crime....

Eli Roth is reteaming with Eric Newman and Paris-based StudioCanal (The Last Exorcism) for the suspense horror Psycho Killer from Seven scribe Andrew Kevin Walker. According to Variety, the film will mark the directorial debut of Zombieland producer Gavin Polone. Psycho Killer tells the story of a nameless, masked murderer who leaves a trail of victims across the U.S. In a chance encounter on the plains of Nebraska, he kills a highway patrolman....

After rumors surfaced earlier today about Fox preparing to bring back controversial actor Jussie Smollett for the upcoming final season of Empire, co-creator Lee Daniels has emphatically denied the claims. “Jussie [Smollett] will NOT be returning to Empire,” Daniels straight-up said in response to the reports on the actor’s return. Because the powers that be at the show had not publicly confirmed whether Smollett will be included in any new episodes, there had been speculation that he may come back next season....

Empire of Light, the title of the new movie from Sam Mendes, simply means a cinema. And the vintage cinema at the heart of the upcoming drama is the long-standing Margate’s Dreamland Cinema on the Isle of Thanet in Kent, England, which was re-christened as a set to be the fictional venue, “The Empire.” For the full effect, the filmmakers transformed Margate’s main seafront road, the beach, the Old Town, Cliftonville, and Darcy’s Café back to the area’s look in the early ‘80s giving the period piece a promising impact....

Game of Thrones officially joins The Sopranos as a great television show with an absolutely terrible ending. HBO must have a contractual obligation to disappoint and infuriate fans. The Iron Throne was a stinker from start to finish. It was an anti-climactic, saccharine finale that may be the poorest written and directed episode of the entire series. The Starks end up ruling Westeros from the north and the south. Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lady of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, Lady of Dragonstone, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons, dies with a melodramatic whimper....

After playing the villain in Thor: Love and Thunder, we could very well see Christian Bale one day playing an entirely new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it’s somewhat rare for actors to play separate established characters in the MCU, it’s something that does happen. Given Bale’s abilities as a chameleon actor who completely disappears into his various roles, it wouldn’t be a stretch to see Bale taking on a different role at some point in the MCU’s future....

The Good The Bad Sissy Spacek plays Loretta Lynn in this famous retelling of her life, Coal Miner’s Daughter. Tommy Lee Jones plays Lynn’s Husband, Doolittle Mooney. The central story is that of Lynn marrying Mooney when she was a very young girl. They have a boatload of kids and isn’t until her husband pushes her that she pursues singing. Acting as her manager they go on the road together all but forcing radio stations to play Lynn’s homemade record....
