The story centers on a DEA agent and an undercover naval officer who are ordered to investigate each other. They both realize they’ve been double-crossed by the mob, who they were both stealing money from. Mark Wahlberg has already been attached to star, although it isn’t clear which roles Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington will play....

Ted Lasso is an AppleTV+ series that follows the titular character played by Jason Sudeikis as an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English football team in an attempt by its owner, Rebecca, to spite her ex-husband after she left him for a younger woman. Middle East censors have banned Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, according to The Wrap. Although the censors have not provided any reasons for banning the film’s release, it’s the latest Marvel movie to fall victim to state-sponsored censorship to constrain certain civil liberties and human rights norms, including the expression of a LGBTQIA+ lifestyle. By including an openly LGBTQ+ character in its film, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been banned in Saudi Arabia, as well as Qatar and Kuwait....

Marvel Studios may have delivered one of their darkest MCU movies to date with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but a newly released blooper reel has revealed that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch is not quite as scary when having to fend off flying leaves and get to grips with her harnesses. After watching the intense movie, it is a change to see Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong and Xochitl Gomez laughing and joking in this new behind-the-scenes footage that shows the filming of the movie had its fun moments despite the seriousness of the film....

You can bring home the final season of Joss Whedon’s latest series home on DVD and Blu-ray this October. Dollhouse: Season 2 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 12. The four-disc DVD set will be priced at $49.98 SRP and the three-disc Blu-ray set will cost $59.99 SRP, with both sets containing all 13 episodes of the final season. Dune emerged as the biggest winner at the 94th Academy Awards, sweeping almost all the technical categories. Dune walked away with six Oscars, including Best Original Score for Hans Zimmer and Best Cinematography for Greig Fraser. The Denis Villeneuve-directed film has been praised by critics and audience alike for its breathtaking visuals, majestic score, and faithfulness to Frank Herbert’s titular novel. Although Denis Villeneuve was snubbed in the Best Director category, he is content with having made one of the best films of the year and plans to outdo himself with Dune: Part Two....

Empire Online reports that Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg’s British cop movie, Hot Fuzz, their eagerly-awaited successor to Shaun Of The Dead, has been given the green light by Working Title. “We got the green light yesterday,” said Pegg. “It sounds as if it’s going to be March, which is exciting.” The movie, which will star Pegg and Shaun cohort/real-life best mate, Nick Frost as two mismatched cops who team up in a West Country backwater, has been mooted for over a year now, with the delay in official news causing some people to fear that it would ever get made....

Gus Van Sant’s 2003 drama Elephant, which details the events surrounding a school massacre, is unlike many other anti-violence films. It offers no placating answers, no explanation for the reasons of tragedy, no study of the minds of the killers, and no theories about the fault of parents, teachers, and society. Diane Keaton, an executive producer of Elephant, said, The film title is a tribute to Alan Clarke’s 1989 shocking short film Elephant, which consists of 18 scenes of sectarian killings and contains almost no dialogue, characters, or context....

Star Trek Discovery season 2 has found its Spock. Actor Ethan Peck, the grandson of Hollywood icon Gregory Peck, has officially been tapped to play the famous half-human and half-Vulcan who was originally brought to life by the late, great Leonard Nimoy. In court today, actor Ezra Miller pled not guilty to two counts of felony burglary charges. Should the actor, who identifies as non-binary, be found guilty of these charges, they face 26 years in prison and over $2,000 in fines. Miller appeared remotely in front of Vermont’s Green Mountain State’s Superior Court criminal division in front of Superior Court Judge Kerry A. McDonald-Cady. Miller was ordered to stay away from neighbor Isaac Winokur’s home and was told not to have any contact with Aiden Early, a Vermont resident....
