It’s been a rough few weeks for Ezra Miller. At the tail end of March, the star of the upcoming superhero movie The Flash was arrested in Hawaii on charges of harassment and disorderly conduct after an altercation with a couple at a local bar on karaoke night. Miller had allegedly been shouting obscenities at patrons and is said to have snatched a microphone from a woman’s hand. The couple involved had filed a restraining order against Miller but later withdrew the motion....

Focus Features CEO James Schamus today announced the company’s domestic theatrical release slate for calendar year 2009, confirming several dates for the seven titles total. Are you friends with Wolverine on Facebook? If not, then you haven’t seen the latest TV Spot for X-Men Origins: Wolverine - one which features a very familiar sounding voice providing the narration. What sounds like Patrick Stewart’s voice is heard doing the voice-over for the trailer, which hints that we might just see a bit of Professor Charles Xavier in this prequel to the X-Men films. Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program....

American Horror Story: Apocalypse co-creator Ryan Murphy shared the first images of the reunited Coven witches on social media over the weekend, which was a big surprise for fans of the hit series. It was also a bit of a shock because most of the characters shown in the picture have been killed off on the show. Smart People director Noam Murro has signed a deal to direct Die Hard 5 for 20th Century Fox. Earlier today we reported that star Bruce Willis was interviewing potential directors himself, but now it seems that Fox has found their man for the next John McClane adventure. Although plot details weren’t revealed, Noam Murro will direct Die Hard 5 from a script by Skip Woods. Our earlier report indicated that Fox is unhappy with the latest draft of Skip Woods’ script, although that doesn’t seem to be the case now either....

As the remake train continues its seemingly never-ending journey through Hollywood, we’ve become used to such phrases, when describing these remakes, as “… something you’ve never seen before,” or something along those lines. Often, that phrase leads to empty promises of stuff we in fact have seen before, but maybe shown through a different angle or other such movie trickery. With Disney’s A Christmas Carol, it is basically the same story we have seen over and over again, but said movie trickery just happens to be rather astounding here....
