Elijah Wood gives us the goods on his new character, his thoughts if the real draft were reinstated and his future projects. Elijah Wood obviously doesn’t let success get to his head. After starring in one of the biggest movie franchises in history, you know, the one with that Ring… you would’ve thought he would ride off into Action-Hero-Land and never look back. Thankfully, he hasn’t and continues to impress us with his depth in unique roles in smaller films such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and a personal favorite of mine, Green Street Hooligans....

Die Hard was a movie nobody was expecting. A surprise hit that made Bruce Willis a star and changed the way action movies were made. There was a before and after Die Hard for the genre. For the next ten years, we kept seeing “Die Hard on something”, like a bus (Speed), a hockey stadium (Sudden Death), or a plane (Air Force One). Ewan McGregor and Carey Mulligan are not doing a dance, but they’re signing up for a new film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, McGregor and Mulligan are in negotiations to star in The Electric Slide. The film is based off the true story of a Los Angeles furniture salesman named Eddie Dodson who became a bank robber. Dodson owned a pricey furniture boutique on Melrose Ave. and lived a glitzy lifestyle in the 80s....

Fans of Roald Dahl are about to see a host of new projects across numerous media platforms thanks to a new deal that has seen Netflix acquire the Roald Dahl Story Company, which will extend their current deal to cover the entire Dahl catalogue of novels, short stories and more. The two companied original made an agreement in 2018 that saw Netflix being given the option of adapting 16 titles as animations....

It looks like it’s going to be an even longer wait to see Christopher Meloni back as Stabler in Law & Order: Organized Crime. The SVU spin-off series just lost its showrunner. Matt Olmstead has stepped down as writer-showrunner and there reportedly is no immediate replacement. It was announced back at the end of August that the new show was going to be delayed until January 2021 because of the public health crisis, but the wait will now be longer due to behind-the-scenes changes....

The Good I am usually a fan of anything with Clive Barker in the title. The Bad I thought this movie wouldn’t be so predictable.Clive Barker’s Book of Blood t doesn’t really advance or detract from the horror movie genre. Mary Florescu is a Paranormal Researcher who is starts to study Simon McNeal. This poor college student is having a tough time because (aside form recent tuition hikes in the UC system), he has the unenviable task of channeling messages from people who have long since shuffled the mortal coil....

You’ve got to hand it to Fox. They hype their new shows like it’s the best thing to hit the air since The Rockford Files, but if the numbers aren’t there in the first three weeks, they have no problem cutting the throats of their new children. Already there’s trouble for Happy Hour, Justice, Standoff and Til Death. Fox claims they are all just going on hiatus early and they’ll all be back after baseball (riiiiight), but we all know what the doublespeak in the press release really means....
