Deadline New York reports that Universal Pictures has returned to their discarded project Contraband. Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale will star in the thriller, which is an Americanized remake of the Icelandic thriller Reykjavic-Rotterdam. The story centers on a former smuggler who gave up the life and is now a security guard. He gets dragged back into the smuggling game when his wife’s brother accidently messes up a run. Aaron Guzikowski wrote the script for this new remake, which Baltasar Kormákur will direct....

Daniel Craig has remained tight-lipped about his James Bond exit in No Time To Die, appearing at numerous press events and speaking in interviews about the role in general and the film being the end of his era of Bond, but for the first time since the film’s release, Craig has now spoken about the controversial ending. While the film was delayed by both the loss of original director Danny Boyle and the subsequent Covid pandemic, fans were finally able to see how James Bond’s current run ended....

Long last help is here! Robocop is returning to the force thanks to director Darren Aronofsky and writer David Self. The writer-director of The Fountain and the writer of Road to Perdition have inked deals to develop a brand new, big-budget installment in the hybridized crime fighter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoenix Pictures’ Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, Brad Fischer and David Thwaites will produce. Although the Lion has not greenlighted the reinvention, it has fast-tracked the new RoboCop for a 2010 release, when the studio plans to roll out its new slate....

Hunting Lane Films has acquired Ed Brubaker’s graphic novel Coward for a adaptation, which David Slade has signed on to direct. Ed Brubaker is adapting his own graphic novel, which centers on Leo, a master thief who can plan and execute any heist known to man, even though his world is populated with dirty cops, hustlers, and low-lifes. Coward, which won the Eisner award for best new series in 2007, is the first in a planned six-part series....

Last week, production began on the Arrow Season 5 finale, with star Stephen Amell sending out a few photos from the set, with one taking fans by surprising. The actor posted a photo of the iconic Deathstroke helmet, while welcoming back Manu Bennett to the show. Don’t Worry Darling is looking to be one of the year’s most thrilling, eerie, bizarre films. The story follows a 1950s housewife (Florence Pugh) living with her husband (Harry Styles) in a utopian experimental community. Eventually, she begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets. A new motion poster was released on Twitter, which can be seen below. The poster displayed Pugh’s and Styles’ characters kissing as he heads off to work, with a plane flying overhead....
