Starz announced today that the anticipated second season of the historical fantasy Da Vinci’s Demons, an original series created by David S. Goyer, who most recently wrote the screenplay for Man of Steel and its sequel Batman Vs. Superman, as well as co-writer of The Dark Knight trilogy, will premiere on Starz in the U.S. on Saturday, March 22nd at 9pm ET/PT. The ten-episode drama, produced by Adjacent Productions, follows the ‘untold’ story of the world’s greatest genius, Leonardo da Vinci, during his turbulent youth during the Renaissance....

The Good This is one of those shows that helps put the 1980s in it’s proper perspective. The Bad Some commentary tracks by the stars would have been nice. Things are a bit different in Dallas: The Complete Fifth Season. Sure, it is filled with the deceit and backbiting that Texas’s other first family is noted for, but things get even jucier when Jock Ewing, the man who created Ewing Oil, shuffles the mortal coil....

Something about David Harbour seems to restrict the kinds of roles he has been asked to play. He has shown that he can perform and that he knows what he’s doing. Lots of news for Dexter fans has been coming out of Comic-Con@Home including a new trailer providing a sneak peek at what’s to come. Also revealed by Showtime is the revival’s official title, which has been dubbed Dexter: New Blood. We finally have an official release date to attach to the revival as well as it’s been officially announced that it will premiere on Nov. 7 on Showtime. Johnny Depp has been back on the small screen lately, but not for his televised defamation trial that has since concluded. At the end of the trial, a jury determined that Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard had defamed him. The decision essentially cleared Depp’s name as the majority of the public believes his side of the story, which is that he had not physically abused Heard as had been alleged. With the trial over, fans are clamoring to see Depp in new roles....

Doug Jones, the actor who provided the motion capture performance for the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, told SCI FI Wire that he is still awaiting news on whether a proposed spin-off starring the Surfer is going forward. It has been rumored that J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5) has been hired to write the script, with Alex Proyas (I, Robot) slated to direct. However, Jones remains uncertain about the future of the project....

After assembling enough big stars to form a Hollywood version of The Avengers, Francis Ford Coppola has finally finished his casting for his next movie Megalopolis. Per Deadline, Hollywood legend and Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman is among the final cast members that have been added to the ensemble cast of the big-budget feature film. Evil Dead fans rejoice, as the Deadites are coming to the big screen next year. The next installment of the popular horror franchise, Evil Dead Rise, was originally set to premiere on HBO Max, forgoing a theatrical release. The Halloween movies have had numerous “conclusions” over the years. The supposed final movie has been released more than once, only for a new continuation to retcon the ending sometime later. Because of this, the series went stale in the eyes of many and confusing with a variety of different timelines.
