Entourage served as one of HBO’s most popular shows for many years in the early 2000s, but creator Doug Ellin feels that the cabler has since swept the series under the rug. During its run on HBO, Entourage consistently pulled in both high ratings and positive reviews, earning various Emmy and Golden Globe nominations in the process. Three Pines is a new Prime Video series adapted from the Louise Penny books about the titular town and the police who investigate its surprising plethora of murders. The Blair Witch Project’s Eduardo Sánchez has signed onto direct Exists for Haxan Films and Amber Entertainment. Eduardo Sánchez co-wrote the screenplay with Jamie Nash, which focuses on a group of twentysomething friends who spend a weekend in the woods. The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau handed out six-figure fines to two popular shows. ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the long-enduring AMC series The Walking Dead were caught up in the FCC sweeps for a reason you wouldn’t expect. The Walking Dead is a violent, morally ambiguous show, so it should come as no surprise that the FCC would give them a second look. This time, though, it was their sound effects that got them in trouble....

It was recently announced that Fear the Walking Dead will conclude with its upcoming eighth season. The news follows the spinoff’s parent series, The Walking Dead, ending its own 11-season run on AMC last year. Forest Whitaker is set to direct and star in a biopic about Louis Armstrong titled What a Wonderful World for Paris-based Legende (La Vie en Rose). According to Variety, Ron Bass will pen the original script. The film is the first bigscreen project to be authorized by the Armstrong estate, and will kick off during the musician’s impoverished early years in New Orleans and primarily chronicle his career as a trumpet virtuoso and improvisational singer....

Last summer’s hottest show, So You Think You Can Dance, begins its third season in search of America’s favorite dancer. The series again promises to keep America moving to a different beat, as dancers skilled in everything from the “street” styles of hip-hop, krumping and popping to salsa, quickstep and jive compete to be named America’s favorite.
