The trailer for Universal Pictures’ event comedy Evan Almighty will debut on Thursday, March 29, during the marathon of NBC’s The Office. NBC will premiere the trailer during its “Night at the Office” event, in which airings of multiple episodes of the hit sitcom will air over the course of that evening’s prime time (8 pm - 11 pm Eastern/Pacific; 7 pm - 10 pm Central). Additionally, the feature comedy trailer will be promoted on the entertainment news program Access Hollywood during both the Wednesday and Thursday editions of the show....

Good news, Evil fans. Paramount+ has renewed the popular horror series for season 3. This comes not long after the show was moved to the streaming service from CBS for its second season. Streaming has suited the show well, it would seem, as the renewal comes as only three episodes of the current 13-episode season have been released. Rewinding time can become addictive as Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll and her friends find out in the new sci-fi movie Deborah. The film tells the story of a special device that can rewind time, and while this is probably something they should be careful with, the ability becomes a bit too tempting to ignore when it comes to fixing smaller mistakes. Available on DVD and Blu-ray October 12th, Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander return as Edgar and Alan Frog, A.K.A. the Frog Brothers in Lost Boys: The Thirst. The film is the third chapter of the popular vampire series, which began with the classic ’80s movie The Lost Boys and was followed by 2008’s Lost Boys: The Tribe. There will be more cases to solve with new episodes of Forensic Files II guaranteed to air on HLN through 2024. Per Variety, the Forensic Files revival series has been renewed as part of a new deal with CNN and original producer Medstar to develop new episodes through 2024. The renewal pact will begin with eight new half-hour episodes, starting with the story of a 24-year-old who was sexually assaulted and murdered after visiting a SoHo bar....

Framelight has picked up screen rights to the cult comic Chi-Chian and plans to develop it as a feature. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Framelight also has attached Mark Rosenthal to pen its family adventure The Secret History of Tom Trueheart. The fairy tale-tinged Chi-Chian is set in a dystopian New York – the city has lost its independence and become a prefecture of Japan – and centers on a seemingly ordinary young woman who has been tapped as a heroine and must fight samurais, robots and zombies to protect her loved ones....

Children of Men author P.D. James and screenwriters Alfonso Cuaron, Timothy J. Sexton, David Arata, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby were honored at the 19th-annual USC Libraries Scripter Award ceremony on Sunday, February 18. The event, sponsored by the Friends of the USC Libraries, drew a crowd of 300 to Doheny Memorial Library, including all the Academy Award-nominated film’s screenwriters. On hand to honor the writers were a number of literary luminaries and Hollywood personalities....

Courtesy of Disney, Chip ’n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers is getting the feature-length treatment starring John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as our loveably mischief-making chipmunks of our youth. The upcoming film will be a hybrid live-action/CG animated feature based on everyone’s favorite animated chipmunks. Disney+ took to Instagram to share the news, captioning their post, “A ̶r̶e̶b̶o̶o̶t̶ comeback 30 years in the making. Maybe we will soon see Chloe Grace Moretz return to the world of superheroes. A former child star, Moretz’s breakout role was in the comic book adaptation Kick-Ass as the fan favorite Hit-Girl. She followed up the 2010 film by reprising her role in the 2013 sequel Kick-Ass 2. She has been working regularly in film since, though Moretz has yet to make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe....

CineTel Films has picked up rights to remake I Spit on Your Grave, the 1978 female revenge film that was criticized for its depiction of sex and violence. According to Variety, the remake rights were owned by Meir Zarchi, who directed, produced and wrote the original. In the original, a woman is abducted, brutally attacked and raped and then left for dead. She survives, hunts her attackers and dispatches them in graphic ways....

Curb Your Enthusiasm has officially started shooting Season 10. Fans who were worried that we might have to wait another six years for the tenth season can now breathe a sigh of relief.
