Farce of the Penguins, Bob Saget’s irreverent spoof of wildlife adventures, has found its female lead with Christina Applegate joining Saget as the voice of “Melissa,” his romantic foil. Lewis Black, Mo’Nique and Tracy Morgan have the other leading roles, with Samuel L. Jackson serving as his film’s narrator. Saget says, “Having such a talented comedic actress as Christina Applegate play the part of ‘Melissa’ is another gift for this crazy film....
Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy is reuniting with frequent collaborator Christopher Nolan for the period thriller Oppenheimer, but this time, he’ll be playing the lead role. In the film, Murphy will be portraying J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist responsible for the creation of the atomic bomb. Christopher Nolan has assembled an all-star cast for Oppenheimer, featuring the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt. Cillian Murphy, who has mostly played supporting roles in Nolan’s previous movies, was surprised when the acclaimed director cast him as the lead in Oppenheimer....

After an extensive international search, NBC’s lively laughfest Last Comic Standing 5 will finally reveal who is the funniest new comic in the world in Wednesday night’s exciting show conclusion (Sept. 19, 9-11 p.m. ET). In this two-hour finale, finalists Lavell Crawford and Jon Reep will be roasted by fellow comics, including renowned roaster Jeffrey Ross, top 10 finalist Doug Benson and talent scout and season three winner Alonzo Bodden. Do not expect Daniel Radcliffe to return to the Harry Potter franchise any time soon. Recently, Chris Columbus, who directed the first two Harry Potter movies, said that he wants to direct a “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” film adaptation, Radcliffe returning to star as Harry Potter. San Diego Comic-Con 2022 has kickstarted. As usual, Marvel Studios’ panels and its signature Hall H presentation are what fans would look out for this year. The last big presentation from Marvel came at the 2019 SDCC when Kevin Feige unveiled the extensive slate of MCU Phase Four productions along with introducing the cast to the world. Though speculations suggest that Marvel is saving the best MCU revelations for the D23 Expo 2022 that will be held in September, there might also be some updates at the SDCC....
The season 2 finale of HBO’s widely popular series Euphoria aired on February 27th and left fans with their jaws dropped to the ground with its balance of high drama and intensity. The season finale drew 6.6 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max, and the entire season’s average viewership is at a staggering 16.3 million. This is the best performance for any season of an HBO series in the last 18 years other than, of course, Game of Thrones, which raked in an average of 46 million viewers in its final season....
Stewart the corgi, a canine actor who regularly appeared on the comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Cheddar, has passed away at 13 years old. His owner confirmed the dog’s passing on an Instagram account created for Stewart and his sister Stella, with whom he shares the role on the TV series. Written on a photo of Stewart in a wagon at the beach, a message explains how the dog was given one last day of fun in the sun before he was put to sleep....
