Dune star Javier Bardem has teased the surprising nature of the upcoming sequel, Dune: Part Two, something which he says will shock even those who have read the novel. Speaking at a Q&A at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, Bardem explained how director Denis Villeneuve has put the follow-up together “in a way that is gonna surprise people.” As well as heaping praise on the Dune: Part Two filmmaker, Bardem revealed how much the script for the sequel moved him, teasing the emotion and spectacle that will be on display....

El Rey Network today announced the start of production in Los Angeles on the cable channel’s second scripted original, Matador, and announced additional cast members including Tanc Sade (The Mentalist, Gilmore Girls) in the lead role of Alec Holester. The new action series, from executive producers Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman (the coveted writing/producing team behind Sleepy Hollow, Fringe, Star Trek and the Transformers franchises) is set to debut this July on Robert Rodriguez’s new cable network and is comprised of 13 hour-long episodes....

Looks like Emilia Clarke is all geared up for the upcoming Disney+ series, Secret Invasion, and is already going full throttle with its production. In a new video from the sets of the miniseries, Emilia Clarke can be seen pinned to the ground with a man grabbing her neck. The sequence seems to be part of a larger action sequence in the film, which will probably put Clarke’s character in a life-threatening situation....

Twentieth Century Fox has picked up rights to Anything, Anywhere, Anytime, an article in the March edition of “Men’s Vogue” about daredevil cargo pilots. Michael Walker, who wrote the article, will pen the script. Jason Blum of Blumhouse Prods. will produce. According to Variety, the studio’s intention is to use these cargo pilots, called “freight dogs”, as the centerpiece for an action thriller. Real freight dogs, whose job is sometimes dangerous, haul everything from exotic animals and cars to video games all over the world....

Some very popular actress are in trouble today, as it has been released that stars from Fuller House and Desperate Housewives are among the many people being indicted in a college admissions scam. There are around 50 individuals involved with this breaking scandal, including Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin. They are each being indicted for allegedly bribing various elite colleges so that they could see their children admitted. The news first broke on ABC news....

The popular toy company has unveiled their line of TV-based exclusives for the upcoming New York Comic Con. Included in their lineup is a set of Married with Children figures. The set includes Al, Peggy, Kelly and Bud in all of their early 90s glory. Unfortunately, it does not appear as though the Funko Peggy Bundy comes with bonbons as an accessory....

It hasn’t even been a month since the jaw-dropping Season 6 finale of Game of Thrones but as we begin the long wait until Season 7, the cast and crew descended upon Comic-Con for their annual Hall H panel. We have previously reported that Season 7 will be delayed a bit, with a tentative premiere date in the summer of 2017, but during the Hall H panel today, the producers confirmed that production has in fact begun....

According to the Los Angeles Time, Clint Eastwood is preparing to compose a new musical score for The Weinstein Co.’s Grace is Gone: The film arrives in select theatres on October 5th, 2007. After viewing a screening of Grace Is Gone, Clint offered to compose a new musical score, which he’s still busy doing now. The new score won’t be laid down until close to the movie’s debut at the New York Film Festival in September and in theaters in early October....

It seems a highly-anticipated sequel could finally get started this year. MTV Splash Page recently caught up with Rosario Dawson, who played Gail in Sin City and had some intriguing details on Sin City 2, namely that filming could happen this year. “Yeah, I talked to Robert [Rodriguez] and Frank [Miller],” Dawson said. “They actually just finished the script for Sin City 2 a few months ago.” She then added, “Hopefully that will happen....

David Wain’s Role Models was one of the big comedy hits of last year, and there’s even talk about another possible film already. MTV Movies Blog recently spoke with Wain, who was promoting the film’s DVD and Blu-ray release tomorrow, and he said there have been talks about either a sequel or a spin-off film. “There has been talk about a lot of things like that,” said Wain. “Like taking the whole LAIRE universe and seeing those people’s lives....
