There were a lot of fans who were enjoying the show, so the news was very unfortunate for many. Refusing to give up on Cowboy Bebop just yet, tens of thousands of fans are adding their name to a new petition at Change....

Canadian auteur David Cronenberg’s return to the body horror genre created an uproar at its Cannes Film Festival premiere. Crimes of the Future had some audience members walking out in revulsion and disgust. The film fetishizes mutilation in a grotesque dystopian future where humanity has lost the ability to feel pain. Surgery becomes intimacy as a select few can grow new organs. Cronenberg has a salient point to make. The problem is that a fractured narrative and logical misfires cloud his objective....

If you’re a fan of Dennis Hopper, you might want to mark your calendars! The Hopper Art Trust has just signed a partnership with the Louder Than Pop arts and entertainment company to create Dennis Hopper: Widescreen. The event is a digital immersive experience that will tour eight cities next year. This news comes from Deadline, who describes the experience below. The exhibit plans to start in Los Angeles, then will travel through New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, London and Paris....

Disney is not “too woke,” according to CEO Bob Chapek. The Hollywood giant has come under fire recently from a number of recent changes around inclusivity and diversity in the studio’s output, including the casting of Halle Bailey as Ariel in its live-action Little Mermaid remake, the inclusion of a same-sex kiss in Lightyear and multiple additions to the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. All of this has led to complaints that the company is going woke for woke sake, but this is something that Chapek says is something that is “more complex” than many believe....

Doctor Who is a science-fiction show that originally began in 1963, with a reboot – referred to as “New Who”, or the modern era – that started in 2005. The show centers around the title Doctor, who travels through time and space in a police box called the TARDIS with various companions. The Doctor frequently regenerates into a new form, allowing for different actors to continue the character.
