Daniel Radcliffe is “Weird Al” Yankovic in the official trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film will be coming to The Roku Channel on Nov. 4 where it will be free to stream. According to Variety, Dark Hero Studios’ David Hayter and Benedict Carver are going to be teaming up with Pandemonium’s Bill Mechanic to make the comicbook “Deadworld” into a zombie franchise. Hayter (Watchmen) is going to write the screenplay. Financing development will be Pandemonium and Framelight. Deadworld picks up four months after zombies have taken over the world. Running the show is King Zombie. He is a corpse who rides a Harley....

Last week, Netflix released their highly-anticipated Castlevania anime series, which was based on the iconic video game Castlevania III. The series was produced by Adi Shankar, who has gained quite the following online for his Bootleg Universe shorts, and for producing films like The Grey, Dredd and Lone Survivor, although it seems he wants to tackle another hit Nintendo video game for his next project. When asked if there were any other video games he would like to adapt, the producer did not hesitate, during a recent interview....

Director Brett Morgen has released the first trailer for Moonage Daydream, about late music legend David Bowie. This release comes hours before the documentary’s scheduled premiere at the Cannes Film Festival’s Midnight Screenings section. The feature length film, described as a “cinematic odyssey” and “immersive experience”, relies on never-before-seen footage, performances, interviews and music to tell the tale of Bowie’s artistic and spiritual journey. It is the first documentary that has received the Bowie estate’s approval....

Jason Segel brought something totally diverse and mind-boggling to our screens with the dramedy television series, Dispatches from Elsewhere. The show premiered in 2020 and surrounds the idea that we could find ourselves. Sounds vague right? Well, the series is actually based on a wild true story. Built up of ten one-hour episodes, Dispatches of Elsewhere is described as an anthology series because each episode centers on a specific character, but the entire series essentially follows four people’s search for meaning....

Dune director Denis Villeneuve is celebrating the news that Dune: Part Two has now officially been greenlit, with the filmmaker revealing that the highly anticipated sequel will hopefully be ready to go before cameras in fall 2022…at the earliest. Asked whether Dune 2 would be ready to start rolling in the spring, Villeneuve replied with a laugh saying, “No, that’s too soon. We still have a lot of work to do....

Edward Norton recently gave an interview for the upcoming issue of Total Film magazine and The Sun has published some excerpts from the interview. The actor reveals a few interesting tidbits about his upcoming movie The Incredible Hulk. “First off it’s utterly unrelated to that film. This is in no way a response to it or picking up from it,” Norton said. “I think like Chris Nolan and those guys did with Batman, we just said: ‘We’re going to start completely with our own version of this myth or saga,’” he added....

Emily Watson, Ben Chaplin and Alex Etel (Millions) are jumping on The Water Horse, the Jay Russell-directed co-production based on the Dick King Smith novel. Shooting starts in early May in Scotland and New Zealand, says Variety. The picture tells the story of a lonely boy in Scotland (Etel) who finds a mysterious egg on the shore of a lake. When the egg hatches, what emerges is a “water horse,” a mythical sea monster of Scottish legend....
