While Marvel does their best to keep the details of their upcoming movies a secret, it seems that once again the loose lips of actors involved in the movies, mentioning no - ahem - Tom Holland - ahem - Mark Ruffalo - names, is not the biggest threat to certain details becoming public knowledge a little before Kevin Feige and his team would like, as that honor goes to merchandising. While there are still occurrences of actors getting a little ahead of themselves, such as Bill Murray’s recent confirmation that he will be appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a new coloring book/jigsaw combo has confirmed a long rumored “big bad” coming to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness s next year....

Emma Stone has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Spider-Man film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matthew Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures. Stone has been tapped for the role of Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. The film, to be directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and produced by Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, will begin production in December and will be released in theaters nationwide in 3D on July 3, 2012....

In a new interview from WonderCon, American Horror Story franchise favorite actor Evan Peters says he won’t be returning for the show’s upcoming ninth season. Having appeared in main roles ever since the show’s inception in 2011, Season 9 will be the first for AHS to go without Peters in the cast. “I’m going to sit a season out,” Peters said when asked directly about his future on the show, and it appears to be the actor’s own choice....

Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner are partly responsible for the shape of science-fiction that audiences take for granted today. Devlin was the writer for Stargate, Independence Day, and 1998’s Godzilla (along with the popular series Leverage). Glassner is a television institution, co-creating Stargate SG-1 and writing/directing acclaimed series such as the ’90s Outer Limits, The Outpost, Falling Skies, along with famous detective shows like the original 21 Jump Street and CSI: Miami....

According to Variety, Fox has purchased the feature rights to Taking Flight: The Hunt for a Young Outlaw. Rough House Pictures will produce. The story follows Colton Harris-Moore, he is a teenager that has stolen cars, boats and planes and also taught himself how to fly in order to evade local police, Homeland Security and the FBI. He’s presently at large and also has a massive Facebook following. The film is based on a book proposal from Bob Friel....

Earlier this month, Fox released new trailers for some of their upcoming shows debuting this fall, although the new drama series Red Band Society, starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, was not among them. Today, Fox has released the first trailer for this show executive produced by Steven Spielberg, centering on a group of teenagers who form a bond at the pediatric ward of a Los Angeles hospital, which is run by Octavia Spencer’s Nurse Jackson....

Fox heads back to school when Sit Down, Shut Up, a new animated comedy joining the Sunday Animation Domination lineup, premieres Sunday, April 19 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. From Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, Sit Down, Shut Up focuses on the dysfunctional faculty and staff at a high school in a small Florida fishing town as they strive to do anything…but teach. Fresh is easily the most disturbing and twisted film I’ve seen in a long time. A woman tired of the online dating scene meets a handsome stranger at the supermarket. A whirlwind romance leads to a weekend getaway with a horrific outcome. Fresh had me laughing out loud. Then gasping in abject disgust. The film’s subject matter is beyond macabre. Chicago Fire is currently in its 11th season. However, actor Taylor Kinney will not return to the series… at least not anytime soon. Deadline reports that the 41-year-old actor informed NBC network officials that he would be on hiatus from the show due to a “personal matter.” That personal matter has yet to be disclosed by Kinney or the network. What is apparent is that the series will see him written out for an uncertain period....

Actors Christopher Walken, Mia Farrow, Selma Blair have just joined the cast of the new Todd Solondz movie Dark Horse, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jordan Gelber stars in the new movie as a thirtysomething man who lives with his parents (Christopher Walken and Mia Farrow) and works for his father’s company while maintaining an immense collection of toys. He finds his match in Selma Blair’s character, another thirtysomething who lives with her parents, as he tries to shed the “dark horse” status he has in his family....

Cobra Kai fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s hit show, including longer episodes and a whole lot of wonderful, inspirational montages. Cobra Kai creator Hayden Schlossberg unveiled these exciting revelations during an impromptu Q&A with fans on social media, with Schlossberg saying, “One thing you don’t have to worry about is montages,” while teasing even more bang for our buck when it comes to Cobra Kai season 4....
