Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo have worked with Captain America actor Chris Evans multiple times throughout their MCU run. But, while Evans quickly emerged as the pitch perfect choice for the straight-laced Steve Rogers, there is another Marvel hero that the Russo Brothers believe Evans could have nailed – none other than Wolverine. It seems that Chris Rock is moving from one remake to another, only this time he’ll be writing the remake. Black Voices recently spoke with Chris Rock who revealed he will be rewriting the High and Low remake. Rock takes over for David Mamet, who wrote the original draft of the film, which is a remake of the 1963 Akira Kurosawa film High and Low. Mike Nichols is on board to direct the film....

Four seasons into Cobra Kai, it’s clear that characters from throughout the original movies in the Karate Kid series all have the potential to appear in the new show. The CW has released the first photos from the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow mid-season premiere, Daddy Dahrkest, airing Monday, February 12 at 8 PM ET on The CW. It was confirmed back in October that Matt Ryan’s beloved character John Constantine will return to the Arrowverse on Legends of Tomorrow this season, with the character making a surprise appearance in the mid-season finale, Bebo the God of War, setting up his return for the back half of the season....

The DCU, formerly known as the DCEU, appears to be dead. While the franchise will certainly continue in some shape or form given the recent announcement of James Gunn and Peter Safran as the new co-heads of DC Studios, it appears the franchise in its original plan is coming to an end. Following the cancelation of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3 and Henry Cavill being let go as Superman, along with the status of Ben Affleck’s Batman up in the air the original pillars of the franchise appear to be gone and a new DCU is being created....

One of Roger Corman’s most beloved cult classics will be getting a new DVD release and will debut on Blu-ray this June. Death Race 2000 will be released in a brand new DVD edition and will come out in Blu-ray for the first time on June 22. The new standard DVD edition will be priced at $19.93 SRP and the Blu-ray will be priced at $26.97 SRP. Buckets of salt at the ready, as both the mid-credits and post-credits scenes for the upcoming Marvel sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, have reportedly leaked. Be warned, potential MAJOR SPOILERS to follow. While the source of the details is somewhat unsubstantiated, with the movie now a mere two months away, it’s possible that these descriptions could very well turn out to be true. Which, if so, would surely send theaters into a choir of gasps and rapturous applause....

We have our first look at the live-action Pinocchio remake. In development at Disney+, the remake features fan-favorite actor Tom Hanks in the role of Geppetto. As a part of Disney Investor Day, the company has released a new image from the film of Hanks in the role looking at a wooden Pinocchio who looks very similar to the one in Disney’s previously-released animated adaptation of the story. Also noted in the announcement is that the film will premiere on Disney+ in September....

More photos have been released from the upcoming sci-fi remake Dredd, which will arrive in theaters on September 21, 2012. Check out the photos below from the upcoming issue of Empire, which feature Karl Urban as the title character and Olivia Thirlby as rookie judge Cassandra Anderson. Although original star Emilio Estevez reprised the role of Gordon Bombay in Disney+’s first season of their revival of the ice hockey comedy The Mighty Ducks, he will not be returning for the second. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers will now move ahead without Estevez’s involvement, which all seems to come down to a disagreement between the actor and Disney’s Covid vaccination requirement, although neither Estevez nor his representatives would make comment on whether that is true or not....

Ewan McGregor has been playing the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi since Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, released in 1999. He took over the part from Alec Guinness, who played the character in the original trilogy of films. Although Obi-Wan got three feature films in which he starred, fans wanted more of the Jedi Master after the conclusion of the prequels in 2005. It would be nearly two decades before audiences would see the return of McGregor to the role when he finally came back for Obi-Wan Kenobi in May 2022....
