Hot on the heels of the explosive season five finale, cast and producers of The CW/Warner Bros. Television’s hit DC series Arrow dropped a casting bombshell at the show’s 2017 Comic-Con panel session on Saturday, July 22. In addition to the return of fan-favorite guest star David Nykl (who plays Oliver Queen’s friend/mentor/nemesis, Anatoly Knyazev), the series can look forward to the addition of a landmark actor from the genre series world: Lost star Michael Emerson....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bonnie Hunt and Don Lake have assembled a top-notch cast for their untitled comedy pilot for ABC with Dennis Miller, Joe Mantegna and Lauren Tom tapped to co-star with them in the project. CBS has picked up a comedy pilot toplined by Chris Elliott, while the CW has ordered its first comedy pilot with Nick Lachey in negotiations to star. In other pilot castings, John Terry has joined ABC’s drama Secrets of a Small Town, Erin Daniels has landed the title role in Fox’s comedy Julie Reno Bounty Hunter Tony Curran and William Allen Young have joined ABC’s drama Enemies, Jenica Bergere will co-star in Fox’s comedy pilot Union Jackass, Ashley Scott has come on board CBS’ drama Jericho, Richard Coyle has been added to CBS’ drama Ultra, Julius Carry has joined Fox’s comedy The 12th Man and Pascale Hutton has been added to another Fox comedy, The Singles Table....

She-Hulk’s most recent episode made a sly reference to The Leader, a Hulk supervillain that was teased recently when Marvel announced Tim Blake Nelson would return to the MCU. Although The Leader or his former identity Samuel Sterns was not mentioned, She-Hulk openly referenced a secret organization of supervillains that he founded: Intelligencia. Theoretically, episode 6 of She-Hulk just opened the door for a few more villains in the MCU....

Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) announced today they are bringing the fantasy-adventure Eragon to the Sony PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system from Microsoft, Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS(TM), the Sony PSP(TM) portable entertainment system, and the PC in November 2006. Developed by Stormfront Studios for consoles and PC, and Amaze Entertainment for handhelds, Eragon is based on the upcoming Twentieth Century Fox feature film inspired by Christopher Paolini’s best-selling fantasy novel, featuring Edward Speleers, Djimon Hounsou and Robert Carlyle....

If this past weekend’s box office was any indication horror fan’s appetites might be changing. The type of films that fans have been gravitating towards over the last few years, the so-called “torture porn” genre, was well represented this past weekend with Saw VI but fans chose to see the The Blair Witch Project-style movie Paranormal Activity instead, which goes more for scares than gore. This could be a good sign for director Ti West whose new film The House of the Devil, which opens in theaters on October 30th, is a throwback to classic horror films like Halloween and When A Stranger Calls, and should give real horror fans a run for their money this Halloween season....

The Lord of the Rings is a franchise that has spanned over the last six decades. Comprising three parts: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, the novels by J.R.R Tolkien were published during the 1950s and were eventually adapted into three films by Peter Jackson, each of which won numerous awards. This eventually led to the adaptation of Tolkien’s prequel novel The Hobbit into a set of films as well, though they were not as acclaimed as original The Lord of the Rings adaptations....

Ahead of his final run as fan favorite character Mike Ehrmantraut in Better Call Saul season 6, Jonathan Banks has joined the cast of Bill Burr’s popular animated series F is for Family. Previously, Banks and Burr collaborated when Burr played a career criminal working alongside Banks’ character in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad. Now, as revealed in a sneak peek video of Banks in the role, the actor can be heard as the voice of Big Bill Murphy - the father of Burr’s Frank Murphy - in the show’s upcoming fourth season....

When it comes to any newly announced biopic film that sets a purpose of retelling the true and often tragic story of a beloved star, often the most controversial part of the entire production process is casting. Moreso than the usual work of pure fiction that relies on multiple elements to tell a good story, casting alone essentially makes or breaks the projected success of a biopic. It has worked remarkably well on some projects and not so much on others....

Fear the Walking Dead fills in the backstory of John Dorie (Garret Dillahunt). Laura is a quiet episode by this series standards. Since the arrival of Disney+, the House of Mouse has been on a mission to reinvigorate its extensive back catalog of classic animations and Pixar properties with new sequels and TV series, and it looks like one of those will be Finding Nemo. Having already had a cinematically released sequel, Finding Dory, a new rumor has suggested that Pixar Animation Studios is currently developing a TV show based on the adventures of clownfish Nemo and his aquatic family and friends....
