Danny McBride, star of the hit HBO comedy series Eastbound & Down, will return to the network in the comedy series Vice Principals, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. The show is slated for 18 episodes, with the debut date and number of episodes per season to be announced as they are confirmed. Here’s what Michael Lombardo had to say in a statement. Yes! We’re getting Daredevil Seasn 3! Tonight, the first-ever Netflix and Marvel San Diego Comic-Con panel took place in Ballroom 20, featuring the star-studded cast of the Netflix original series Marvel’s Luke Cage. Moderated by Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television and Executive Producer on the show, the panel was packed with surprises and sneak peeks including an appearance by Jon Bernthal, who was introduced to fans as Frank Castle (The Punisher) in season two of Marvel’s Daredevil, and will be starring in the Netflix original series Marvel’s The Punisher, along with the announcement that Netflix has renewed Daredevil for Season 3....

The Good Darkwing Duck is a crime fighter like no other. The Bad No Special Features except for a two part pilot episode that I don’t think can really be called a Special Feature. Warner Home Video has announced that the DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection will be released on DVD and Blu-ray November 9. This DVD contains the three short films that were included on previous DC Universe animated films - The Spectre, Jonah Hex and Green Arrow - along with a brand new 22-minute short, Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam. Doctor Who has found its next Doctor. The BBC has officially announced that Ncuti Gatwa will play the Fourteenth Doctor and will succeed as Jodie Whittaker’s replacement when she leaves the series this year. Gatwa is best known for his role as Eric Effiong on the acclaimed Netflix series Sex Education, which has earned him a slew of awards including a BAFTA Scotland award for Best Actor in Television. Going from beloved superhero to convicted axe murderer, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen has been cast as Candy Montgomery in a new limited series. In the works at HBO Max, the series is called Love and Death and it has already been ordered directly to series. It follows two church-going couples in a small Texas town, with an affair resulting in one housewife murdering another with an axe. David E. Kelley (The Undoing) is writing the script with Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland) directing....

Fear the Walking Dead hits us with a hurricane, a whole lot of filler, and a long expected reconciliation. Close Your Eyes has Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) riding out the storm, drumroll please, with Charlie (Alexa Nisenson). It’s extremely contrived to have these two characters randomly meet up, but that’s par for the course in the zombie apocalypse. There’s a decent dramatic turn as Alicia struggles with her hatred for the girl that destroyed her family....

Trademark Films and The Weinstein Company have announced that principal photography has started on My Week with Marilyn for 7 weeks at Pinewood Studios and on location in and around London. Michelle Williams plays the iconic Marilyn Monroe alongside a fantastic British cast including Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson and Julia Ormond.
