The first image from DreamWorks Animation’s Madagascar: The Crate Escape has been posted on the web, thanks to filmz.ru. The film arrives in theatres on November 7th, 2008 and features the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer and Andy Richter. To this day, it’s nearly impossible to never have at least heard of the tune, whether having seen the two highest-grossing Disney films or not. With the release of Frozen and its sequel came the soundtracks that both made it to number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts....

HBO’s The Deuce is ending after the upcoming season 3. In preparation for the September premiere, the network has released a full-length trailer, giving us our best look yet at the final season of the hit show. As seen in previous bits of promotional material, we’re now in 1985 and the adult industry is about to go through some major changes, along with New York City. A lot of pivotal things happened around this timeframe and it looks like the show is going to dive into a lot of it....

Fans of Game of Thrones were ecstatic to see the return of Benjen Stark, aka Coldhands, back in action for the tail end of Season 7. The Beyond the Wall episode featured Jon Snow and his motley crew going to hunt and capture a Wight to prove to the people of Westeros that the threat of the White Walkers was very much real. Though they accomplish the mission, Jon Snow could not have finished the mission had his Uncle Benjen not come to his rescue and saved him from an army of Wights....

When it was announced that Illumination Entertainment and Japanese games giant Nintendo were developing a whole new CGI world of Super Mario movies, fans of the franchise were instantly on board with the project, which will be kicking off in December this year with an as yet untitled Mario movie starring Chris Pratt as the voice of the titular plumber. For a Marvel stalwart like Pratt, keeping secrets should be no issue, and that is just as well, with co-star Charlie Day revealing that secrecy around the project is at least equal to that of the MCU....

If you’re one of those folks who can’t get enough of Marvel’s X-Men, then you’re probably chomping at the bit for the premiere of the new animated series, Wolverine and the X-Men. Well, the fine folks at Marvel have had mercy on you, and have released a new trailer to tease you until the show premieres on Nickelodeon. The trailer shows the X-Men in battle against both the Sentinels and a batch of evil mutants....

The Good This movie is quite simply one of the best ever made. The Bad For this Special Collector’s Edition they sure seem to have skimped on a lot of things. “Forget it Jake, it’s Chinatown.” Such is the last line of the film Chinatown a movie directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jack Nicholson as Jake Gittes and Faye Dunaway as Evelyn Mulray. This 130 minute film is a long, expansive noir set in Los Angeles in the early to mid-portion of the 20th Century....

Chris Pratt is everywhere at the moment. Having already appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion, he will also be seen in Thor: Love and Thunder, the Disney+ Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, is soon to be the voice of Mario in Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. movie, and has his action series The Terminal List coming to Prime Video on July 1. While it would seem the star already has his hands full, it looks like there are big plans in place for the new series, with multiple seasons already being considered....

Director Guillermo del Toro and actor Ron Perlman were in San Diego today to promote their upcoming sci-fi thriller Pacific Rim, and it was here that the longtime duo revealed they are actively trying to get a third Hellboy film into production. There’s just a few weeks left until the annual Arrowverse crossover, which is entitled Crisis on Earth-X and will be condensed into two nights of programming on Monday, November 27 and Tuesday, November 28. Each night, there will be a two-hour movie airing in each two-hour block, representing the episodes of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, with the entire Arrowverse coming together for something much more positive than their usual meetings, the wedding of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton)....

David Arquette’s directorial debut film, The Tripper, will have its world premiere on Friday, October 13th, kicking off the opening night of the 6th annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival. Screamfest is the largest and most prestigious horror film festival in the United States and will be held from October 13-22 at the Mann Chinese Theaters in Hollywood, California. The Tripper has been a passion project of mine over the last few years, and I feel extremely honored to have my film screen in competition at such an influential genre film festival as Screamfest, states co-writer/director Arquette....

Horror fans like to debate whether Michael Myers is powered by a supernatural evil, but it’s not a philosophy that Halloween Ends helmer David Gordon Green subscribes to. In 2018, Green kicked off his Halloween trilogy with the Blumhouse sequel that only acknowledged the original installment of the series. Bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis for one last hurrah as Laurie Strode, the story comes to an end this week with the release of Halloween Ends....

Comic book movies require a careful balance between realism and a suspension of disbelief. Casting calls hang in the balance and tip this precarious scale for the men and women dressed in tights. Actors have an image they bring to the character; some look the part so much, it’s as if they were born to play the superhero archetype. The walk and talk of a character further develops that image. Charisma and voice convince readers and viewers that the superhero they admire most is plausible and relatable on and off the big screen....

IDW Publishing, the current home of Star Trek Universe comic books, announced the return of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Commander Benjamin Sisko in Star Trek #1. Arriving in October 2022, from critically acclaimed artist Ramon Rosanas (Marvel’s Star Wars and Ant-Man) and writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing (Star Trek: Year Five and Marvel’s Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty), the new flagship title will draw together characters from different eras of Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek Universe and unit them in a single mission to prevent the murder of the gods....

Just one week after the teaser debuted, BBC has released the second full-length trailer for Season 8 of Doctor Who, which debuts Saturday, August 23 on BBC America. Peter Capaldi takes over as the new Time Lord, joining companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) as he tries to rectify the mistakes he has made in the past this season. Eddie Murphy will give voice to the animated lead character in Alcon Entertainment’s live action/animated big screen adaptation of the of the 1970s Hanna-Barbera animated TV series Hong Kong Phooey, it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-CEO’s Broderick Johnson and Andrew A. Kosove. In addition to voicing the character of Donkey in the box-office hit Shrek franchise, Eddie Murphy was also the voice of Mushu, the Dragon, in the successful animated epic Mulan....
