Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis has signed on to adapt the IDW Publishing graphic novel Dirk Gently for a new TV series. The character was created by Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy), first appearing in the 1987 graphic novel Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, which was followed by 1988’s The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul. The stories follow the title character Dirk Gently, who investigates supernatural cases....

Constance Wu says she faced sexual harassment and intimidation from an unnamed senior producer during the first two seasons she worked on ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat. The actress opened up about the allegations while speaking at an event on the eve of her memoir, Making a Scene, from Simon & Schuster. Hulu has released the NSFW Crossing Swords trailer. The new animated series comes from the creative team that introduced the world to Robot Chicken. That should be enough for curious viewers to know when contemplating checking out this new series in June. In addition to being NSFW, the medieval stop-motion animation series also looks completely absurd in a good way. There will never be an end to Detective Benoit Blanc’s investigations if Knives Out director Rian Johnson and star Daniel Craig have their way. Previously, the two found great success with the release of the original Knives Out in 2019, as the comedy whodunit was a hit at the box office and garnered widespread acclaim.
