Ahead of tonight’s premiere The Bells of St. John, airing March 30th on BBC America, Doctor Who revealed some of the all-star cast that will mark the 50th anniversary. David Tennant and Billie Piper will join current Doctor and companion, Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, while John Hurt will also co-star. Last seen as the Doctor on January 1, 2010, this will be the first time David Tennant has reprised his role as the Tenth Doctor....

As Warner Bros. looks to expand the DCEU in the coming years, away from the expected, well-known character sequels like Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Wonder Woman 3, the introduction of new characters like Blue Beetle is coming. While it was originally expected to be an HBO Max exclusive movie like Batgirl, Blue Beetle is now going to get the full cinematic treatment, and that means that the film is pulling out all the stops to get big names involved in the film, including Sharon Stone as the movie’s villain, Victoria Kord....

Walt Disney Feature Animation is developing The Frog Princess with plans to produce it in traditional 2-D style, rather than the 3-D CGI method that has become ubiquitous recently. Variety reports that according to sources, the film is being developed by writer-directors Ron Clements and John Musker (Treasure Planet, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid), who recently rejoined Disney after Ed Catmull and John Lasseter became WDFA president and chief creative officer, respectively, following the Pixar acquisition....

During the Big Game coverage, something even BIGGER dropped, a brand-new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The new trailer gave Marvel Cinematic Universe fans a second look at the mind-blowing Marvel Multiverse that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) blew open after Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his friends didn’t get into college (and didn’t even try to appeal the decision before seeking a magical solution) in the Spider-Man: No Way Home....

Jussie Smollett, the actor best known for his role on Fox’s hit drama Empire, was hospitalized following an assault that took place in Chicago. Smollett was attacked by two currently unidentified individuals at around 2 a.m. Local authorities are currently investigating, with the help of the FBI. CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi had this to say in a statement. Authorities have been collecting and reviewing footage from private and city cameras in order to aid in the investigation....

It seems that Terry Gilliam’s film that was famously abandoned 10 years ago is moving forward with another actor joining the cast. Empire is reporting that actor Ewan McGregor has signed on for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. McGregor will star in the role that Johnny Depp was set to play in the film’s first incarnation over 10 years ago. It was said that Depp was still set for the role, but there were scheduling conflicts with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and this film....

The eleven year-old lost her father, famed-“Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, in September of 2004 and since then the pre-teen has been on a mission to continue to spread her father’s message of conservation, environmentalism and animal rights around the world. We’re pleased to announce that Austin-based filmmaker Robert Rodriguez and director Nimród Antal will present a “First Look” at their upcoming motion picture Predators, at SXSW on March 12, 2010. A bold new chapter in the Predator universe, Predators was shot on location under Rodriguez’s creative auspices at the filmmaker’s Austin-based Troublemaker Studios, and is directed by Nimród Antal. The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey....

20th Century Fox has closed a deal with Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow to move forward on the 24 feature film. The Kiefer Sutherland real-time thriller will be written by the show’s creators, Surnow and Cochran and most likely star Kiefer as CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) Agent, Jack Bauer. Variety reports plans call for the movie will abandon the real-time counter which will allow much greater plot possibilities, opening up scenarios not possible on a show where all the action takes place in one day; chief on the list is international travel, possibly London....

With just 13 episodes left in Game of Thrones, spread out over two final seasons, HBO is looking to close the show out with a huge bang, both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes. The show’s five biggest stars, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) have all new deals for the show’s final two seasons, that would make them the highest-paid actors in TV history....

Chris Pratt is one of the most popular actors in the industry, and he is set to voice one of the most famous felines of all time when Garfield releases in theaters on Feb. 16th, 2024, according to reports from Deadline. The film was initially set to release on Nov. 22nd, however, the project received a delay on Aug. 3rd, pushing the movie into 2024. Not much is known surrounding the plot of Garfield, with the description reading, ‘Animated feature film based on the popular comic strip about a sarcastic, lasagna-loving cat....

The Amsterdam cast is making a case for the best ensemble of the year, as the film is filled with some of the finest talent in Hollywood. Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington lead the movie helmed by David O. Russell, with Chris Rock serving as one of the many supporting actors. Amsterdam follows the three Americans who formed a lifelong friendship while serving in WW1 and unintentionally become the prime suspects in a murder case after witnessing the tragedy....

What was planned for Warner Bros. Discovery’s DCEU franchise and what has happened are two very different things. That has been further emphasized by reports that a Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline was considered to attempt to reset the IP after things became messy following the chaos surrounding the original release of Justice League and what has followed it. Justice League was almost a franchise killer when it was released in 2017, but the subsequent Aquaman movie managed to turn things around by taking over $1 billion at the box office....

HBO has renewed the hit comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, starring Larry David, for a ten-episode eighth season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, Programming Group and West Coast Operations, HBO. Production of the new episodes will begin this summer in Los Angeles and New York, with debut slated for 2011.
