Iconic TV personality and producer Dick Clark passed away this morning at the age of 82. He suffered a heart attack at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, just one day after he was admitted for an outpatient procedure. Dick Clark built an empire that spanned through music and television, starting with the show that bridged both mediums, American Bandstand. The show was one of the longest-running TV programs ever, running from 1957 to 1987, which served as a launching pad for many music stars such as Buddy Holly and Madonna....

Director Edgar Wright’s latest film Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World is set to hit theaters on August 13 and the director recently spoke about how faithful the film is to original comic books, created by Bryan Lee O’Malley. MTV Splash Page recently spoke with Wright, who revealed that the film stays rather true to the comic book series’ first three volumes. Wright also revealed that there will be material in the film that wasn’t in the comic books, of course, but there are some parts that O’Malley originally wanted to have in the comic book and now will be a part of the film....

Euphoria has proven to be HBO’s biggest hit show of recent years. After debuting its first season in 2019, the show premiered its second season in January. With strong reviews and word of mouth turning more people on to the series, it managed to increase its viewership exponentially since season 1. Eva Longoria’s next film will be Deep In The Heart Of Texas in her home state for Touchstone Pictures. The film was bought from a pitch by Pam Buchignati and Lynnette Ramirez, which centers on a spoiled Beverly Hills diva (Longoria) who becomes a fish out of water when she is relocated to San Antonio to run the new Latin division of an ad agency. The Hollywood Reporter adds she becomes completely out of touch with her Mexican roots and does not speak a word of Spanish, so she has to win over the gringo urban cowboy who is her new boss, speaks fluent Spanish and is more in touch with her heritage than she is....

Earlier this week, lawyer/activist Chase Iron Eyes and his pediatrician wife Sara Jumping Eagle filed a protective order at Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court claiming Miller displayed “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.” The couple further claimed their 18-year-old daughter, who Miller befriended when she was 12, is on the run with the DC Comics actor....

America’s holiday season kicks off on Thanksgiving Day with the longest marathon in television history: FXX’s 600 episodes, 300 hour, 13-day run of every episode of TV’s longest running hit series, The Simpsons. The 27-season marathon begins at 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, November 24th and ends on Wednesday, December 6th at midnight ET - all 600 episodes airing in chronological order over those 13 days. The upcoming Simpsons marathon will become the longest-running marathon in television history, surpassing the previous record holder, FXX’s 552-episode, 12-day Simpsons marathon, which ran from August 21, 2014 at 10 AM to September 1 at midnight....

The South by Southwest Festival kicks off today in Austin, Texas, where festival goers were greeted with quite the surprise. HBO has debuted the first poster for Game of Thrones Season 7. Unfortunately, the poster does not reveal the premiere date, but series star Liam Cunningham revealed in an interview last week that he believes the show will premiere sometime in July, with the eighth and final season starting production in September....
