A new upcoming comedy has a new diverse foursome of actors. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Judy Greer, Chloe Sevigny, Cybill Shepherd and Billy Dee Williams have all signed on to Barry Munday. Chris D’Arienzo will direct and adapted the script from Frank Turner Hollon’s novel “Life Is a Strange Place.” Patrick Wilson has already signed on to star as the title character. This dark comedy deals with Munday, a womanizer who gets attacked, loses his testicles and discovers that a brief fling with a woman (Greer) he can’t remember has led to a paternity suit....

20th Century Fox is suing Warner Bros. over the rights to develop, produce, and distribute the film adaptation of the graphic novel Watchmen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is currently trying to block Warner’s from moving any further ahead on the project, which has been filming for months. Fox claims that they hold the exclusive copy write and contract rights to Alan Moore’s popular comic book. The film is currently in production....

Oscar-winning acting veteran Anthony Hopkins will play Sigmund Freud in his next major role. Per The Hollywood Reporter, a new project revealed at Cannes, dubbed Freud’s Last Session, will feature Hopkins in the lead. Matthew Brown (The Man Who Knew Infinity) is directing with a screenplay written by Mark St. Germain (The God Committee), inspired by Germain’s original play of the same name. “Beyond my own intellectual curiosity and inclination towards this piece, there is a deep recognition of how incredibly timely and important this film is,” Brown said of the feature in a statement....

Yahoo! Movies has revealed the second full trailer for The Runaways, a music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s, starring Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton, Stella Maeve, Alessandra Torresani, Hannah Marks and Brett Cullen. This really looks like a case of back to the Futur! In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like Futurama will return since it was taken off the air in 2003. Kicking off this resurgence will be Futurama: Bender’s Big Score which “will be released Nov. 27 directly to DVD.” Futurama: Bender’s Big Score is “the first full-length Futurama feature based on the TV series; three more films will be released individually through 2008, all with the original creative team and voice cast on board....

I often find myself transfixed on the minutiae of such a complex world such as Westeros in Game of Thrones. For instance, they have established that sending out ravens with messages is basically the only way one can communicate between other villages in Westeros, so one would assume that rumors are spread via ravens as well. Icelandic art-pop trio Sigur Rós (Jon Thor Birgisson, Georg Holm and Orri Pall Dyrason) have landed roles in Season 4 of Game of Thrones. The musicians’ roles are being kept under wraps, although they are currently shooting their episode in Croatia. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff are big fans of the group, and they would listen to their music while shooting in Iceland, one of several countries used during each season of the hit HBO series....

As Cheech and Chong’s reunion stand-up tour “Light Up America” comes to a roach, Big Vision Entertainment has stepped up with plans to produce an animated film featuring the stoned duo with Chambers Bros. Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The two companies have acquired animated film rights to the classic Cheech and Chong library held by music producer and Ode Records owner Lou Adler and will use those famous comedy bits to inspire Cheech and Chong’s Smokin’ Animated Movie....

The Yari Film Group has given the green light to develop Killing Pablo, about the late Pablo Escobar, with Javier Bardem and Christian Bale in the lead roles. According to Variety, the project, based on Mark Bowden’s novel “Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World’s Greatest Outlaw,” has been in development for nearly five years. Bardem is slated to play Escobar, while Bale is in talks to play Major Steve Jacoby, the Delta Force commander who led the hunt for Escobar....

Shemar Moore, who fans know and drool over from multiple CBS dramas and the long-running series Criminal Minds announced that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Jesiree Dizon. The announcement came while Moore was on The Jennifer Hudson Show, which will air on January 26th. When first announcing the news, Moore shared with the audience why the due date is so meaningful to him, “I’m Shemar Moore, 52½ years old....

The WGA and David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants have reached an agreement that will allow Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to return to the air next week with their writers, according to Variety. Letterman-produced CBS shows will return Wednesday, the same day Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel get back to work – without their writers! The WGA released the following statement:...
