She passed away from congestive heart failure. Elizabeth Taylor started acting at the age of 10, with early memorable roles in movies such as Lassie Come Home, her breakout role in National Velvet, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The actress won two Academy Awards for her performances in Butterfield 8 in 1960 and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?...

New images for SYFY’s Bring It On: Cheer or Die have been released. First Look Studios has acquired ensemble comedy The Amateurs and military drama Day Zero and set release dates of Nov. 30 and Jan. 18, respectively, according to Variety. The Amateurs, written and directed by Michael Traeger, centers on a small town brought together by the common dream of creating an adult film. The film stars Jeff Bridges as a down-and-out divorcee who brainstorms the idea of an amateur porn film. Ted Danson, Lauren Graham, Joe Pantoliano, Jeanne Tripplehorn, William Fichtner, Patrick Fugit, Tim Blake Nelson, Isaiah Washington, Glenne Headly, Judy Greer, Steven Weber, Eileen Brennan and Brad Garrett also star....

Fox 2000 has picked up film rights to British author Catherine Fisher’s young-adult dystopian fantasy novel Incarceron, planning to adapt into a feature franchise. According to Variety, John Palermo will produce via Seed Prods., Palermo and Hugh Jackman’s Fox-based shingle. Incarceron is a priority for Fox 2000 and Seed, with the project going out to directors and writers to adapt. At least two other studios were vying for the film rights....

Fox Atomic, the new youth-focused division of Fox Filmed Entertainment, announced its 2006-2007 line up and theatrical release dates for three of their upcoming films. Turistas, a recent acquisition, will jump start the studio’s slate in December 2006, followed by The Hills Have Eyes 2 and 28 Weeks Later, both going into production this summer, and being released in theaters in 2007. Also on the production slate for Fox Atomic is a re-imagining of the 1984 classic Revenge of the Nerds and The Comebacks, a sports comedy....

Fox has canceled plans for three of its shows on the Sunday night Animation Domination lineup to run hurricane-themed crossover episodes. The network yanked episodes of Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and American Dad!, which were all set to air this Sunday night and revolved around a hurricane which ran through all three shows. The episodes were pulled due to the latest hurricane which has already claimed the lives of over 300 people....
