Releasing in 2013, Sharknado was a top-notch B-horror movie that quickly became a cult classic. Everyone was stunned when Sharknado premiered on the SYFY channel, as the movie wasn’t actually that bad. Yes, it is still ultimately, B-horror movie schlock, with a nonsense story, some cheesy writing, and CG that is laughably bad. But, Sharknado is incredibly fun and one of the best movies of the sub-genre. Sharknado was so popular and beloved that it has since spawned five sequels, with each installment getting crazier and more over-the-top as the series goes on....

Veteran actress Famke Janssen discovered that she was one such person following the fame she had achieved with her breakout role in the James Bond movie GoldenEye. Say what you will about Chevy Chase and his alleged behavior on set, because the actor has openly stated that he’s not concerned about it whatsoever. For years, Chase has had a reputation for being a bit abrasive on set with some of his co-stars describing working with the Vacation star in a very unflattering way. He is particularly known for his alleged problems mingling with the other cast on the sitcom Community, eventually leading to the actor’s exit from the show....

It shouldn’t be a terribly long wait before we get to Cobra Kai season 5 after binging every episode of season 4. At the end of the year, Netflix will release the fourth season of the Karate Kid sequel series. This gives us two seasons in one year to enjoy on the streamer, as season 3 premiered on the first of the year. Big fans will binge those new episodes as soon as they’re released, and we’ll be hearing people asking for season 5 by January 1st....

Universal Pictures has officially greenlit the third film in director Edgar Wright’s trilogy of comedies. The final installment, entitled The World’s End, will follow the success of 2004’s Shaun of the Dead and 2007’s Hot Fuzz. Edgar Wright is currently in pre-production on the film, which will begin shooting this October in the U.K. Simon Pegg, who co-wrote the script with Edgar Wright, will join forces once again with Nick Frost to star....

Conan O’Brien is leaving late night television after a nearly three-decade run across multiple shows and networks. After premiering on TBS in 2010 following the host’s controversial exit from NBC, Conan will reportedly end in June 2021, despite the network renewing the series through 2022 last year. In a statement commenting on the end of Conan on TBS, O’Brien also reveals that he’ll next be hosting a weekly variety series on the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max....

Corey Feldman is ready for the Frog Brothers to return. The CW The Lost Boys series is going through some major changes behind-the-scenes due to the network’s alleged dissatisfaction with the original pilot. The iconic Frog Brothers were at one time going to be changed to sisters with Cheyenne Haynes and Haley Tju taking over the roles originally played by Feldman and Jamison Newlander in the 1987 horror classic. Now, Feldman is looking for he and Newlander to make a comeback for the retooled version of the TV series as the two actresses have been dropped from the project entirely....

Back in June, after months of speculation, HBO confirmed that Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 is happening, with series creator and star Larry David returning. The network didn’t confirm any additional details about the show, or what returning cast members would be back, but it was revealed through a new video today that production has gotten under way. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t shed any light on the story, or even give us a glimpse at Larry David himself, but it does confirm that one other cast member will be back....

OMEDY CENTRAL has greenlit production on “Freak Show,” an animated half-hour narrative about a band of freak show performers who also happen to be second-rate superheroes, it was announced today by Lauren Corrao, executive vice president, original programming and development, Comedy Central. The network has ordered seven episodes of the series, which will premiere in late 2006 or early 2007. America’s most beloved high school principal is back in the classroom-but this time, his classroom is on the internet. Dennis Haskins, who played Mr. Belding on the long running television show Saved by the Bell, stars in the new web comedy Acting School Academy (ActingSchoolAcademy.com).
