After Season 25 of Cops came to a close this weekend on Fox, the network cancelled the series, which has the longest run of any show currently on television. Shortly thereafter, the program was acquired by Spike TV, with the 26th season set to debut this September in its original Saturday 8 PM ET time slot. The show centers on Antonio “Matador” Bravo (Gabriel Luna), a soccer star known both for his athletic prowess and his playboy antics off the field. What his fans, friends and family don’t know is that he also moonlights as a highly-trained covert operative, who goes on dangerous missions for a little-known branch of the CIA....
Gabrielle Union, Ed Helms and Elizabeth Banks are joining Eddie Murphy’s comedy, Starship Dave for 20th Century Fox. Union and Helms will play crew members of a spaceship that takes the shape of a human; Banks will play Murphy’s love interest. The Hollywood Reporter adds it’s based on a script by Rob Greenberg and Bill Corbett, and centers on a spaceship that takes the form of a human (Murphy). It’s operated by 100 human-looking, quarter-inch-tall aliens seeking a way to save their planet....
Last month, actor James Franco dropped out of The Iceman, where he was set to play Robert Pronge, the protege of serial killer Richard Kuklinski (Michael Shannon) for Warner Bros. Today we have news that actor Chris Evans has finalized a deal to replace James Franco as Robert Pronge. The drama is based on Anthony Bruno’s book, The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer, which explores the life of Richard Kuklinski....
Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve shared a conversation over the weekend for the ‘Directors Cut Podcast’ following a screening of Villeneuve’s Dune. The final season of The CW’s hit series The Flash is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly awaiting the return of some familiar faces to help bid farewell to the beloved show. Colin Firth has joined Reese Witherspoon in Atom Egoyan-directed drama about the West Memphis 3, Devil’s Knot. The actor will play Ron Lax, a private investigator who was the first pro bono supporter of the defendents as they headed to trial in 1993. Lax built one of the most prominent private investigative firms in the Southeast, and offered his services for free to the defendants, who at the time were reviled because of the heinous nature of the crime and the sensationalized reports about devil worship and ritualistic sacrifice....
Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters on June 10 and is described as the “Epic Conclusion of the Jurassic Era.” The film will not only serve as the finale to the Jurassic World series but will close out the nearly 30-year-old Jurassic Park franchise. Dominion is being directed by Colin Trevorrow, who helmed the first Jurassic World film in 2015, but sat out its 2018 sequel Fallen Kingdom. Trevorrow is responsible for bringing three decades of storytelling to an end, a task that he almost took on with another iconic blockbuster franchise....

Despite essentially leaving acting behind her, Drew Barrymore has now declared that she would return to the big screen for Charlie’s Angels 3 alongside Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu. Speaking with People, Barrymore states that she would “show up” for another sequel in the action movie franchise, even if it were just to work with Diaz and Liu once again all these years later.
