NBC has announced it will debut a three-part animated short series to promote the return of Community, which comes back to the NBC lineup Thursday, March 15 at 8 PM ET. Demi Moore is off to indie land, booking starring roles back-to-back in independent films. One is a family drama, and the other a martial arts movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moore joins indie queen Parker Posey in Happy Tears from filmmaker Mitchell Lichtenstein (Teeth). Next up, she will team with Woody Harrelson for Bunraku from Snoot Entertainment. Glen Powell, a breakout star from 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, is returning to the skies in the upcoming biographical war drama Devotion. After reading Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos, the inspiration behind the film, Powell set his sights on bringing this epic war story to the big screen. DC is bringing the Doom Patrol to the small screen. DC Universe, the upcoming streaming service from DC and Warner Bros., has given the greenlight to producer Greg Berlanti’s Doom Patrol series. The series is set to go into production this year for a debut sometime in 2019 on the streaming service.
