Vancouver based actress Erica Cerra is best known for her role as Deputy Jo Lupo on Syfy’s popular TV series Eureka but she is about to make the leap to the big screen with not one but two new films being released in 2010. The first is an adaptation of Rick Riordan’s popular series of children’s novels called Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Fear the Walking Dead season 6 finally has a return date. The mid-season finale of the hit zombie series aired back in November. AMC is, unfortunately, going to make fans wait a little while as the show is set to return to the airwaves this spring. As revealed by the official Fear the Walking Dead Twitter account, the series will pick up with the second half of its current season on April 11....

I’ve never been a big fan of films about “how tough” Hollywood and the film business can be, or mainstream films about the porn industry but Finding Bliss does have a nice charm about it. The film is compelling but not anything you haven’t seen before. In fact, it’s kind of hard to do a mainstream film about porn now since Paul Thomas Anderson’s contemporary classic “Boogie Nights” really nailed the subject perfectly....

Despite all the upsets that have hit Warner Bros. Discovery’s DC slate in the last few months, their non-DCU offerings are all very much on track. Concert and sports promoter Frank J. Russo has picked up Charlie Lucky, a script by Joe Cortese that chronicles the criminal career of mobster Charles “Lucky” Luciano. According to Variety, Russo has produced and promoted concerts featuring Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli over the course of a 39-year career. He formed Creative Pictures to make his first foray into the film business at age 62....

Karen O has written an original song which will be featured in the end credits to Disney’s highly anticipated movie, Frankenweenie, directed by Tim Burton. “Strange Love” is included on Frankenweenie Unleashed!, a 14-track compilation of music from and inspired by the film. Frankenweenie Unleashed! will be released on September 25, 2012. Recently, Chris Hemsworth has discussed the possibility of playing a superhero longer than any other actor. Chris Hemsworth began playing Thor in Thor (2010) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, he has played the God of Thunder eight times in the franchise, including his uncredited cameo in Doctor Strange (2016). In the last twelve years, Thor has emerged as one of the essential members of the Avengers and has made Hemsworth an international star....

Christian Bale has signed on to star in Yimou Zhang’s upcoming 600 million yuan ($90.2 million) Nanjing Heroes about the Nanjing Massacre. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will pull in the Hollywood effects team behind Saving Private Ryan and The Dark Knight. The Nanjing Massacre, when Japanese troops killed thousands of Chinese citizens in what was then the nation’s capital in 1937, has been the subject of several recent Chinese and co-produced films, each of which has included the character of John Rabe, a German businessman who helped save hundreds of Chinese refugees....

The Back to the Future movies might be a lot of fun, but there were some things wrong that the second movie got about the future. Released in 1989, Back to the Future Part 2 brought back Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd as time travelers Marty McFly and Doc Brown, this time moving ahead to the year 2015. Upon entering their distant future in a flying DeLorean, the pair, along with Marty’s girlfriend Jennifer (Elisabeth Shue), witness an airborne freeway filled with other flying cars high up above the ground....

The cast of Fringe was in San Diego today for their last Comic-Con panel to promote the fifth and final season, debuting September 28 on Fox. We reported back in April that the network ordered 13 episodes to wrap up the series in Season 5, although one cast member believes a Fringe movie may happen sometime down the line. Daniella Monet is joining her fellow former Nickelodeon stars in candidly speaking about what it was like working as a child actor for the network under Dan Schneider. Less than a week after Zoey 101 actress Alexa Nikolas led a protest outside of the network’s headquarters in Burbank, Monet spoke with Insider about her experiences on Victorious, claiming her concerns about feeling “sexualized” were ignored by Nickelodeon. Monet, who played the role of Trina Vega for Victorious’ entire run, says the show was “very [politically correct], funny, silly, friendly, and chill”…for the most part....

Simon Beaufoy also added that Danny Boyle would likely direct the project if he enjoys the script, which is still being written by Simon Beaufoy. “It’s an adaptation of a book by a writer called Toby Barlow and it’s a very extraordinary mix of gangland Los Angeles, really, really rough - a lot of shootings - and the difference with this particular piece of work is that these gangs can shape-shift at will into packs of dogs....

Just hours after The Ranch star Danny Masterson was fired by Netflix, following multiple accusations of sexual assault, the actor has released a statement. The actor continues to deny the allegations against him, making it clear that he has not been charged with a crime, although there is an open investigation into the allegations by the Los Angeles Police Department. In the aftermath of a myriad of sexual harassment and assault allegations that have surfaced over the past few months, one of Danny Masterson’s accusers shamed Netflix in a social media blast....
